Absolute stud for sure. I'll add #'s I was curious about to yours Last 14: .422 BABIP, .254 ISO, 6% walks, 23.5% K For context AAA: .333 BABIP, .308 ISO, 6% walks, 14.5% K AA: .286 BABIP, .263 ISO, 14.7% walks, 9.1% K Hard to draw many specific conclusions going forward, but I'd say: -clearly he's on a hot streak right now (vs. his norm..he's not an overly inflated BABIP guy it would seem) -the Ks should come down eventually -however, the power he's been flashing in the last 14 gms is exactly what he was doing in AA and AAA this year...so let's see
I think Bregman is going to be great but Correa is both younger and off to one of the best starts of any player his age in history. I'm going with Correa.
USA Today named him their Minor league player of the year. He's the first player in Astros history to get this award from the USA Today (they started giving it in '88).
Springer was only a little more than a year older than Bregman is when he had his phenomenal year. Not sure if there are other 23-year olds, but the reward is meant to go to the player with the most outstanding season if I remember the criteria from the time. It doesn't get much more outstanding than what Springer did.
