I didn't think that Alex Abrines was going to be in the draft, because I did not see him on any mocks, so I assumed that he was not entering the draft. However, nbadraft.net now has in on their second round mock........

so I am going to assume that he is going to declare. Well, that makes it great for the Rockets having one of the early second round picks. This kid would be a tremendous pick in the early second round.

Let him stay with a Barca playing in the Spanish League and Euroleague for a couple years and watch out............this guy is a hell of a player.

The Rockets need to jump freaking all over him if they can get him in the draft.

Why he played so much better in Euroleague than in ACB?

Alex Abrines is a Daryl Morey type of player...Specially since we lost Llull from Spain this guy is a much better prospect than Llull who was an undersized two... Abrines is 6'6 195 and reminds me of a young Rudy Fernandez... Abrines has a Mike Miller type of game but might be a bit more athletic... I expect the Rockets to actually draft him if he is available because of his 3 year contract which a team can buyout after next season...he would be the BEST prospect available for the Rockets pick comes around...

Abrines should end up being way better than Llull. And yes, THANK YOU for pointing out that Llull is a shooting guard. The Rockets fan base is generally totally deluded into thinking he's a "point guard".

Abrines could be the most intriguing Spanish basketball product since Pau and Navarro.

He didn't play alot of minutes for Barcelona this year because they have a veteran team and were playing for a Euro Championship... But Alex Abrines did play one game recently before the Euro playoffs and score 21 points in 21 minutes... I would not mind drafting him and let him get much more playing time for a year and then bring him up in 2014-15 season by buying out his contract...
