Baze, Conley, and Horford would be crazy nice. We'd have to offload Ariza, Beverley, KJ, and Brewer to make it happen, right? Hell, try to pry away Milsap, create the Houston Hawkets!

He won't even bother giving us a chance to ask him.

Woj tweeting about Howard having a great meeting with Atlanta and there being "traction" has to be encouraging for our hopes for Horford, right? Would they give both guys the deals they want?

They can, but that would force them to trade Millsap, and he has a player option next summer so they cannot trade him where they want.

Its makes everyones hopes go up. About 7 teams are going after him and will pay max. Rockets have no upperhand

Well yeah either that or they'd try and keep both and move Horford to his natural position, the PF-spot.

That might make Milsap available (unless they'd want to play him at the 3 full time - don't see that happening), which I'd be ok with too :)

I don't think they'd HAVE to trade Milsap actually to make it work but they probably WOULD trade Milsap.

I can't remember what their salary situation was after all of the moves they made. I know they'd have to let go of Bazemore.

No, they don't need to trade him to sign Howard and Horford, i'm saying that Millsap cannot play the 3, and no one of these three guys is coming off the bench.

Al Horford is an all-star. When was the last time Dwight was an all-star?

Signing Horford probably won't make the Rockets true contenders this upcoming season, but it would be a big step in the right direction and they would be competitive in the West probably around a 4 or 5 seed.

Puts them in position to be an attractive destination in FA next year.

Horford isn't an all-star in the West. Dwight may very well be an All-Star again in the East.

Why would Atlanta do this when they can sign outright?
