Wow...that's pretty crazy, but I'm glad you're getting your cholesterol down. Risk factors are actually not something you want to have. The more risk factors you have, the more likely you'll have diseases associated with those risk factors. For example, to assess your coronary heart disease risk, there are 5 risk factors which includes smoking, family history, hypertension, low HDL, and age. If you have CHD or CHD risk equivalent (diabetes or chronic kidney disease), then your LDL goal would be <100. If you have more than 2 risk factors listed above without CHD or CHD equivalents, and your 10 year CHD risk is below 20%, then your LDL goal would be <130. If you have 0-1 risk factor, then your goal is <160. As you can see, the more risk factors you have, the worse it is.
