Did Woj tweet this news out? I won't believe it until he reports on it.

How much for 4 years? Is the 4th year an opt out option?

Sources say that he was given a no trade clause and a player option at his 4th year lol

    WOJ Bomb!

Seriously, yahoo sports is one of the worst places for him to work for. They have done absolutely nothing for him in terms of promoting him or even creating a platform for him to compete with the likes of ESPN. At this point Woj's entire setup is his Twitter account. There is nothing breaking newsworthy he puts on Yahoo sports. Honestly, he might be better served going independent perhaps starting his own site called Woj Bomb and hiring a bunch of staff to help him become the leader in all thing related to sports scoops.

Yahoo can't offer him anything besides money. He IS their entire basketball coverage, better yet he IS their entire sports team. I've never heard of people visiting Yahoo.com for sports. I have also never heard of a Yahoo NFL insider or a Yahoo MLB insider. Woj is the only thing that keeps Yahoo Sports relevant, which means he gets 90% of the entire Yahoo Sports salary budget.

Yahoo is a dead corpse corp from the 90's.

However they still have the resources to support Woj, who maybe one of the biggest assets Yahoo left.

Woj needs a portal and a strong company for him to gain trust in this business.

Yahoo is one, SI could be one also, but a website of his own? Nah.

His writing sucks donkey ass, Yahoo has no problem to tolerate it as long as he can bring on the twitter hit and the fame.

This is a mutual benefit contract.

    Well then you are wrong.

Before this twitter era going viral, Yahoo sports news are having as much hit as ESPN and they have more comments too.

    Of course now everything changed.

It would be nice if he would work for ESPN, since they are the Sports Leaders, yet happen to have garbage NBA insiders. That bridge is probably burned from ever happening though. Of course, it will be nice whenever somebody finally becomes equal to ESPN.

Big Corp is big because they can manage their cost and profit.

They won't even willing to renew contracts for Simons or even the much lower tier Cowherd, why would they spend big money on a guy whose excellent on a media format not in the name of TV?

That's great news, keep his opinions genuine without some morning meeting of BSPN dick heads pushing an obvious agenda into his work.

It didn't happen without a Woj tweet scoop.

    Kobe Bryant? Wow

Anyway I have a low esteem, on Woj's pure journalistic smear jobs that he calls opinion pieces but this sounds interesting and will definitely check it out. The other collaborators are also very respected.

The good is that BSPN after murdering Grantland will finally have some competition.
