He plays the Texans next week and I do not want him to do well in that game....But I want him to get that 2000 yd mark. WOW. This guy is a freaking beast. Comes off an ACL injury and just dominates the league. Best Running Back in the League hands down.

Watch him and Watt break their all time records in the same game

He's 294 yards away from the single season record held by Dickerson....amazing how he's done this after blowing out his knee in week 16 (IIRC).....simply amazing. Not even 3 HPD Officers can stop him:grin:

Would be funny if AP breaks a TD run and as part of his celebration walks up to an officer and shows his wrists to mock the arrest:grin:

I hated him at OU because he was one of the best running backs I've ever seen

That would be awesome but AP needs to have less than 150 yds if the Texans are going to win. Vikings usually win when he has 150 or more.

I'd be fine with Peterson dropping 200 on the Texans as long as the Texans get the W.

Want to see him break that all-time record.

250 yards for Peterson and no TDs. Ponder passes 15 times for <100 yards and no TDs, gets sacked 4 times. Count me happy.

2105 is a number everyone should know, but ADP is our generation's Jim Brown.

I love Foster, and he may make it someday to the hall if he keeps having games like last time, but Adrian Peterson can easily go down as a top 4 RB in NFL history easy...that said, I want him to do nothing, and for Ponder to get sacked lots of times..

I love what Arian has done for the Texans running game. However, I prefer the Jim Brown/AP bulldozing-type RB over Foster's springy and light style.

Texans need to get out to an early big lead so the Vikes feel compelled to throw the ball.

I can't be the only one thinking that Peterson might have used some kind of illegal method/drugs to heal himself after that injury. Normally guys are lucky to get 1,000 yards two years later after an injury like that, and he's about to break the single season record? It just seems... off... superhuman.

Modern medicine is changing things dramatically. ACL repairs are pretty "normal" procedures now. Jamaal Charles had the same, and he's basically been as good as ever. His numbers are down mostly because he plays on a ridiculously terrible team that has no passing threat whatsoever.

Not saying ap took drugs but Charles injury was week 2 iirc and ap was around week 15 or 16. Very impressive by AP. plus I believe Charles injury was less severe.

Also AP has no passing threat either.

For all i care...he can get the record the following week...We arent gonna stop AD but we should try slowing him down...With that being said...I would really have no problem if Watt and AD share the MVP award together..

(btw i know i typed AD, which for those that dont know is All Day, Peterson's nickname)

Christian Ponder is terrible, but he's worlds better than Brady Quinn and Matt Cassell, who each have a QB rating around 65. Ponder has a 75ish QB rating and 14/12 TD/INT ratio. The KC people have 8 TDs and 18 INTs.

The Texans targeted him. How he slipped to sixth is still beyond me. Dumb general managers making millions. SMH.

Charles injured himself in week 2.

Peterson injured himself in week 16.

    Charles only tore his ACL.

Peterson tore his ACL, MCL, and meniscus.

Right - but a few years ago, even Charles' recovery wouldn't have been possible. The simple reality is that these reconstructive surgeries just aren't at devastating anymore. Other examples include Tommy John, where pitchers now routinely come back in less than a year, often with stronger arms than pre-injury. Or the season-ending injury for Ray Lewis that might turn out to not be. Modern medicine is just changing how we have to look at injuries and recovery times.
