I wish Nike would step up and match the offer to Harden. Nike is a superior shoe.

But $200,000,000? I think for 13 some-odd years? $15,000,000 a year? Tough to turn down.

Those saying he will get injured in Adidas, get real. I'm sure it's the brand of shoe that determines that. I'm sure a major corporation like that don't do their homework.

Because you know, if he stays with Nike, like Durant did last year, no way one can get injured.

Maybe he'll quit basketball and get into the shoe industry.

    A Kardashian + adidas?

    Career suicide.

I'm here from the future to report on James Harden's ACL tear

I don't care about shoe deals as long as the dude is a stud on the court and plays for Houston. Tennis shoes are for kids not adults and a basketball player hyping a shoe should do nothing to an adults perspective on whether he wants to wear the shoes or not. Sorry if I am offending anyone here because I have 30+ year old friends who still act stupid over shoes and blow thousands a year on keeping up with them. Needless to say, they are all broke. Wish they would grow the hell up!

Same here dude. I have a great gait and don't don't shuffle or drag my feet when I run or walk. It's the mid soles and uppers that will break down first for me.

I thought Adidas was slowly stepping away from their NBA presence.

Dude. Let's simply keep Mr. Lin out of this thread. The Rockets have a solid presence in China thanks to their glorious former superstar, Yao Ming, and the fact that they have a solid marketing team. Jeremy, now playing for the Hornets, has nothing to do with this thread. Heck, Yao really has nothing to do with this thread. China is one of several large markets, no more, no less. This thread is about James getting offered a gigantic deal by an American shoe company.

Hope Nike matches and gives him his own shoe. Much deserved.

Anyone else chuckle at Darren Rovell's "breaking news"?

Also, the Kanye angle makes this all the more interesting. I hope it doesn't go beyond fashion.

As for Harden, he should take the money and run
