Adidas announced late Friday that it has ended its relationship with Gilbert Arenas, one of their main endorsers.

The company made the move just hours after Arenas entered a guilty plea to a gun charge in D.C. Superior Court Friday.

Arenas' eight-year deal with the company, which began in December 2003, was worth $40 million.

Expected. Arenas's career is in a downward spiral right now. Hate to see that since he was one of my favorite players.

And like Kobe, he'll get it back in due time.

I think there was a thread about a year ago on Arenas' crazy spending habits with underground shark reef tanks in a grotto encrusted with million dollar rocks (not diamonds but the one's made of mineral and chemical composition that you kick) and all sorts of crazy ****. Some people were saying things to the tune of " oh well he's a multi-millionaire there's no way he'll have financial troubles." It's going to be a not so lavish lifestyle if his Wizards contract does indeed get voided in addition to this dead Adidas deal and legal fees. Kinda crazy how one day you go from being invincible

That's because it ran out way before Kobe was charged in the rape case.

I don't think so. Arenas is dropping down the chute. While Kobe was still climbing the ladder.

I understand what he did was wrong, but I think it has gone too far now. It's not like he's OJ.

Yeah, OJ was found not guilty, while Arenas admitted that he was guilty.

Kobe was charged but wasn't convicted guilty on anything, it's totally different.
