Lately I’m having trouble refilling my 20mg generic Adderall IR prescription and it appears to be getting worse. I ran out last week and I’ve been to four pharmacies in my area (NW Houston) with no luck. Who’s to blame for this? Are DEA regulations the problem?
Hmm, heard you were out with the flu. Guess now we know the real reason you weren't at the labor meetings.
On a serious note, how many refills do you have left? Pharmacies can only refill your prescription for Adderall at certain times depending on how much your supply was during your previous fill. If this progresses, go to your Doctor for a new prescription and it should be smooth sailing then.
Wait, you seriously named yourself David Stern? Unless that's your real name, why the heck would you do that to yourself?
I was in a pharmacy a couple of weeks ago when the pharmacist told a dude they couldn't refill his adderall prescription. It was seriously painful to watch him squirm like a crackhead looking for a rock.
My co-worker is on adderall. She was told there was a shortage until 2012. She's on something else now.
There's less off the attention-deficit disorder drug Adderall available to the public than there used to be: some even call it a shortage. The company blames the FDA, which has limited the total amount of the drug manufactured: it is, after all, an amphetamine and a controlled substance. Manufacturer Shire has responded to these limits by... hiking the price and making fewer discounts available to consumers. The two companies licensed to manufacture generic Adderall sued Shire last year, claiming that they weren't able to get enough of the active ingredient to manufacture their version of the drug. Meanwhile, the shortage has been good to Shire: bnet's Jim Edwards calculates that the company's revenues from Adderall are up 83%. http://consumerist.com/2011/10/adderall-maker-responds-to-shortages-with-price-hike.html
You can't refill C2 scripts. I work at the Kroger on west gray and there's tons of people coming in and asking for Adderall. It's a manufacturer issue. Try calling around to different pharmacies and see what they have for ADHD, then get your MD to write a script for it
