I actually thought they sounded pretty good this morning. Flipped back over to them immediately when I heard Nick on 610 bashing the Texans for playing Duane Brown.
It's their first show working together, JFC. I bet you balled at your job on your first day. Oh, and the Texans made the playoffs so why in hell would you be listening to a local sports channel today???
http://forwardtimesonline.com/2013/...oh-radio-undergoing-a-major-internal-facelift F'in BS. We need that station on in this town!! The mo that things change, the mo they stay the same....
Matt and Lance seem like an infinitely better team. Matt seems to keep the show on the rails, allowing Lance to be funnier. Adam just overlapped with Lance wayyy too much.
this... plus, as nice a guy as adam is, i always questioned his radio gig. He doesn't have the hardcore sports knowledge to provide what I "think" most people want from sports radio. TV seemed his real gig where it was smile and look pretty while providing highlights and an occasional snarky joke - no hate bruh, that sounds like a pretty good job to me. would seem prudent for him to hide his hatred of baseball and actually learn a bit about sports to raise the level of his radio game, but to each his own.
upon further listening, i have to agree. they were great this morning. I do think lance is intelligent and highly amusing, but matt is the funniest person on sports radio right now, bar none. i was seriously lol'ing during their "hall of very good" conversation about griffey jr during the bagwell convo...didn't get to hear whether or not lance rescinded what he said, but matt's "baseball guru" ribbing was great. these guys are going to be awesome together.
They have been a great combo. I love how we are all complimenting them (well Lance and Matt) but the thread title talks about how terrible Lance and Adam are
The show really has been good. Not a lot of sports talk though. It's more like random convo sparked by sports topics. But I'm ok with that, Lance and Matt just works.
On the flip side....the noon show with Sean n Adam is pretty good. A lot better than I thought. Seems like a good move.
I've always really liked Matt, but I have to be honest I haven't consistently gone out of my way to listen to a morning show outside of my car until they put Lance and Matt together. Lance was killing me the other day pretending to be the crypt keeper while talking about the 2016 Texans lineup.
Oh god, please, Houston come up with a local morning sports talk show that is listenable. I am starting to look at national radio shows.
You're not being a proper gentleman. BTW- The Fister conversation this morning had me audibly laughing. These two are a perfect combo for my morning drive when Stern isn't on.
