KG needs to be on that list. His efficiency after the all-star break was just unbelievable.

No they don't. 90% of their fan base wants him gone so Favors and Kanter can get minutes.

It's not far-fetched to say he's the third best, which is arguable. Great offense, problems...he's one of the worst defenders at the center and his teams are irrelevant.

I used arguable, because I don't think he's better than a healthy Bogut and is possibly not quite as productive overall in comparison to Bizarro (Marc) Gasol,Tyson Chandler, and emerging DeMarcus Cousins and Nikola Pekovic.

Lastly, HE'S NOT EVEN A FAMISHED VERSION of Hakeem Olajuwon.

when they have prospects like that, can't blame them.

By the way, re Al Jefferson.
Utah got him from Minnesota in exchange for Kosta Koufos and two picks that were later used on........

    ..................Donatas Motiejunas and Terrence Jones.

    The NBA is so small.

Demarcus Cousins will take the 3rd spot this year.

not necessarily. Their starting front court will most likely be Ryan Anderson / Anthony Davis.

    Don't do it.

    Jefferson...just like Martin...is fool's gold.

Puts up good numbers but doesn't impact the game much.

I've been saying this for months now. Stat wise he's actually number 2 but he's not injury prone (Bynum) and he's not a whinny little girl (Howard). We could start him at the 4 and he could play backup 5 mins too..

Trade Martin & Patterson to Utah Jazz for Jefferson. You can mix and match the front court (Jefferson & Asik) for Twin Tower aspect , (Motievation & Jones) for run a gun type style. So I hope Morey is on the phone w/ O'Connor and Lindsey to make it happen cause how far can Foye and Mo Williams take you at the Shooting Guard position really????[/QUOTE

i also want this trade to happen. with giving Martin and 2Pat i dont think that would cut the deal but to make it a little sweet, i would throw in one of our first rounder we have, maybe Dallas or Our own first rounder or Both maybe.

    I AGREE 1,000%.

He's not in Olajuwon's class, not even close.

Sorry but Cousins is #3. Maybe stat wise he still looks better than Cousins but not for long. Cousins took a big leap forward last year, and continues to improve.

He was 1 of 4 NBA players last year to average at least 17pts 10reb and 1 block a game. I believe the other 3 players were Howard, Bynum, and Gasol.

Well I mean its a given, he's automatically number 1.
This list features the top five centers other than Chuck.

Can Al Jefferson be more than a stat machine? Zach Randolph went from a stat filler to a winner in Memphis, so I say it is possible. Downside is he is going to cost you max dollars, and weaken pursuit for the perimeter star he would need.

Really, you should see what Jazz and T-Wolves fans think about Jefferson. I'm sure comparing him to Hakeem would be a good laugh for them as well.

Zach Randolph may have been tad bit better than Jefferson and slightly better talent over a longer period of time.
