Alston will be tripleteamed if Tmac and Yao don't play. I know this sounds funny but Rafer Alston will be our primary offense and first option tonight. Yeah!

Even though JVG said at the Phoenix after-the-game press conference that he had to think about it, I think he was just being coy. He probably had to think about for about a microsecond.

nah the pick and roll D. rafer ALWAYS ALWAYS goes under the pick. he prollie wants rafer to practice actually fighting through the picks like tmac did when guarding nash. when u do that, u force that player to go into the teeth of the defense.

rafer sometimes get lazy on D after the pick.

yea if our role players can play the jazz hard, that will put more doubt into them. and give us more confidence.

like i said, u dont ever want to give this jazz team any confidence.

and u want to beat them badly in game 1 too. if so, a sweep is very possible. :D

The Greek, the Rifleman (Novak), and Big Jake! I'm thinking Spanoulis sets some more NBA records tonight. One last chance for that big Rookie of the Year push!!!!

Rox will have 60 3PFA tonight. Rafer will take 20, and Luther will take 25.

Absolutely the right call. Can you imagine the justifiable criticism the Rox management would get if star 1 or star 2 were to get hurt? The only minutes they should be logging tonight should be on the treadmill or the eliptical.

On another note, is it wrong of me to wish for a minor injury to a Jazz starter or two? I am not talking about anything career threatening, just a good ole ankle sprain or a pulled groin. I don't care if the Rox beat the Jazz developmental league team, I just want them to advance.

He'd never do that. It might be mistaken for being aggressive / physical.

Well sure, then when we get to the second round we'll just wish for minor injuries to all the Mavs players and their coach. :D
