Ok, for the sake of argument let's say the images aren't photoshopped -- the first picture says it all. Did the US military allow you to take your wife and child into a war zone ... no. This is just one of those fantasy camps where you can be a soldier for a day -- just like you can be a NASCAR driver for a day, be a rock star for a day at 'rock camp', or be an indy car driver for a day -- etc.
Not really. Just that our stupid wars-- Iraq of couse and Afghanistan beyond apprehending in Laden created more terrorists than they eliminated
It's Fort Bliss you freaking moron, I even stated that above the pic . It's in El Paso *which some may classify as a war zone, but families are very much allowed there), and it's where many units do pre-deployment training. So, are you trolling now or are you serious? You can't be this dense...
Who would classify El Paso as a warzone?! http://www.elpasotimes.com/tablehome/ci_22523903/el-paso-ranked-safest-large-city-u-s And it's called sarcasm...
You don't actually believe him, do you? Wow, I knew there would be some trolling in this thread, but I didn't think anyone would be dumb enough to fall for it.
You were at Camp Bucca Treeman? I was at Camp Adder/Ali Air Base for two separate tours (08 & 11) and thought it was nothing but a massive dump. That was until I spent 2 weeks at Bucca......Bucca made Adder look like Disney World. Much respect to you and your fellow soldiers that were there.
You should have left it at the banal "thank you for your service" Not even falsely equating me with Treeman helped you out. I certainly agree that a lot who are quick to say "thanks for service" would prefer Not to pay for the proper treatment of returning vets or properly evaluate when to employ them.
Southwest Adventure's Paintball Field, located in Biggs Park on East Fort Bliss, features two field options: a scenario field and a PSP speed ball field.
The large difference here is people were (and are) openly calling him a liar and mocking his service. Other people made it a bigger deal than he has.
Army or Air Force? Bucca wasn't too bad. Hell, we had a Burger King there, along with a pizza place and a Green Leaf. Could've been worse.
I accept that I am pretty conservative. Why can't you openly embrace your Marxism, glynch? No one here is buying that you're a moderate of any stripe. Just live with it and be honest about who you are.
Oh, and Cheetah - if you google "fort bliss pre deployment training" you will find pics taken at Ft Bliss that exact building in the background. You won't find any of my pics anywhere else because they are mine, and I don't generally share them.
Air Force. I was assigned to the 407th as a Air Traffic Controller both times. And yes, there are worse places than Bucca but damn. Still pretty rough times compared to other bases in that AOR.
