The Euroleague official website itself has confirmed that Sergio Llull is a shooting guard for Real Madrid and that their point guards are Sergio Rodriguez and Pablo Prigioni. So that should put that argument to rest. http://www.euroleague.net/news/i/83195/180
That's like saying Chuck hayes is not a PF because the team page has him listed as center? You are whatever position your coach chooses to place you in on that given game.
This is easy. Rockets drafted him as a PG. Basically because he had not played SG minutes before he was drafted, he has done it these last 2 years. I see NBA coaches like Adelman giving him also SG minutes, but Rockets think of him mainly as a PG.
During games LLull is a shooting guard. Rodriguez and Prigioni play point guard exclusively. They never log a minute at point guard. Since they play every single game and handle the whole 40 minutes of the game's PT at point guard that means that Llull never logs a single minute at point guard. What is it going to take for the fan base here to grasp that Llull is not a point guard? It's quite strange that this whole forum keeps calling him a point guard, when he always plays shooting guard.
Morey is an idiot. The Euroleague and ACB games, every single one of them are broadcast live on the internet, worldwide, for free. I tell you what. Why don't you watch some and see Llull playing at SG and then you can compare that to Morey's notes where he always lies and claims LLull is a PG. Llull has not played point guard since he was in the minor league of Spain. You can watch the games and verify yourself. Then maybe you will finally grasp that Morey just says whatever the hell he feels like saying and that most of it is pure nonsense.
Tiresome. And again, this is false. He has played PG, in Madrid and with the national team. My last post about this topic.
He is a combo guard, plenty of basketball players are capable of playing both positions Him being listed at one position does not mean he cannot play another
So Morey's genius plan is to take a guy that is a shooting guard in his national team and his club team in ACB and Euroleague and switch his position to point guard if he comes to the NBA? The same guy that plays shooting guard on the Spanish national team because the national team coach Scariolo said he is not capable of playing point guard? The same guy that Messina used as a shooting guard in Madrid because he said he was not capable of playing point guard? So that is Morey's master plan for Llull then? The "genius" Morey thinks that a guy that cannot handle point guard duties for his club and national team should immediately become one if he comes to the NBA? Right, that makes sense........... He has never been on the floor without a point guard being next to him unless it was in a garbage time or due to an injury situation.
He is not a combo guard. He plays exclusively at shooting guard. A combo guard is someone that plays both guard positions. Llull plays shooting guard exclusively. He is not a combo guard. Again, watch the games online. It's so easy for ANY of you to just watch a game online and why you are arguing about it makes no sense. You refuse to watch a game and see the fact that Llull is a SG and you would rather just blindly trust whatever Morey says as some kind of gospel. Very strange to say the least. Real has 2 point guards, Sergio Rodriguez and Pablo Prigioni that log all 40 minutes at PG every single game. So if anyone here can explain how that makes Llull the team's point guard then please do so.
http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showpost.php?p=5780624&postcount=75 The same guy who claimed Juan Carlos Navarro was the best shooter on the planet. Yawn. I don't know why he keeps coming back.
anchel, Hold on a 2nd. Was the game winner (driving, stop n pop 3 pointer) with 1.6 seconds remaining a quadruple overtime? wow!!!! <iframe title="YouTube video player" width="480" height="390" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/uYxjaRB994Q" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> Move to the .55 second mark of the above video. Score says 4ot. Is that 4th quarter, or 4th overtime?
Is the argument what position he plays, or what position he will play in the NBA? I for one, could care less about his position overseas. As durvasa mentioned, Daryl sees his skills in the NBA as a PG, as does Draft Express. Uploaded with ImageShack.us[/IMG] www.draftexpress.com
That's definitely meant to mean fourth quarter, not fourth overtime. Look at how many minutes were left when the clip first started.. and the score.
