Don't know the rules, but the chance of him leaving China before March 1 is 0%. JR on the other hand will most likely return to the States next week.
Now that everybody (JR Smith and W. Chandler) has left China; Aaron Brooks gets a chance to start in the Chinese All-Star game!
Saver is one of the worst owners in the NBA. Les is mediocore but may be towards the bottom. Jordan is probably the worst.
He never really stunk it up; he put up the best stats for the best team in China. However, his team is a lot more talented than all the other teams in China to begin with (won the title 7 times in last 8 years, which is why they could afford to let Yi go), so there were complaints that he didn't share the ball enough and also him making poor decisions when the game's on the line (like jacking up contested 3's and turning the ball over repeatedly). As we all know, Brooks is a very good scorer but a poor PG. Bottom line is, his team is winning a lot and he almost certainly won't leave China until ~March 15 when the CBA Finals are over.
The second twitter is wrong. The dude doesn't know the rule. He is confusing the deadline March 1st date for Brooks to sign the Suns qualifying offer as some deadline for Brooks to sign with others. it's wrong. It just means Brooks cannot sign the Sun qualifying offer (which few RFAs do anyhow), since he is currently a CBA player. But he will still be a normal restricted free agent after the deadline. bottomline: anyone can offer him a contract and the Suns have a right to match any offer.
