Nah, but really if Lin can nail 3's better than AB in preseason he should stay. All I care about is who fits best.
I don't know why people think we have too many PGs. Canaan doesn't even count, because the Rockets will basically plant him in the DLeague rather than sitting on his ass on the Rockets bench. He's not playing major minutes. So you have Beverley, Lin, and Brooks. Of which Beverley and Brooks are both capable spot up shooters. Seems fine to me, especially our other wings(Garcia, Casspi, Parsons) are more SF/PFs than shooting guards.
WAAAY too early to state that. He's a former MIP. The guy has talent and at 30 is far from washed up. For the vet minimum, I really like the signing.
Nice insurance. The Rockets are familiar with him, and he's familiar with them. It's a comfortable fit, and people need to calm down. The Rockets are not going to have studs all the way to the end of the bench.
Brooks is only 28, and played pretty decent in his limited minuets in the playoffs. 3 seasons ago averaged 20 points and was considerd a borderline allstar, i don't see why he'd sign if he wasnt going to be getting at least 10 mins a game. But hell who knows, sorta a weird move from him and the rox
I'm seriously getting sick of this ******* bickering. Some of you guys bring it on yourselves.. anyway AB is good insurance and he's probably a solid lockerroom player
Lol all the LOF trying to tear down AB0. He's had his ups and downs with the franchise but he showed he can still ball against okc in the playoffs. Aaron's 3pt shooting is going to be crucial for this team. He might be our best outside shooter.
It is the 3rd star Rockets want. I think Aldridge trade will include Jeremy Lin if that happens. RealGM reports that Aldridge camp has met with Blazers management to propose trade ideas. This could go down soon.
As others have pointed out, this could be nothing more than insurance from the Rockets perspective. I just have this nagging feeling that it's more than that.
Forgot to post about the signing. I'm really excited to have Brooks back on the team. I don't have any hopes for him getting any minutes, but he is definitely good insurance to have for a team that will be competing for a championship.
Well I don't have a problem with it at the minimum, after all, he's good depth even if he isn't very good anymore. His 3 point shot is pretty much gone, and he turns the ball over way too often, but who else are you going to get for the minimum?
