If Brooks can put on 10 pounds of muscle and still have the same speed...then I will look at possible comparisons

I love brooks...but he cant finish in traffic, so when teams actually pay attention to him, they will force him to pull up for jumpers. If he can hit those jumpers consistently, then he will have a good career.

So he is just as good as Deron Williams , Tony Parker , Chris Paul and Nash?

My god the homerism in this thread , Brooks is good but Alston is still our best pg.

    Brooks is no Iverson.

    He actually goes to practice.

“I saw the shot clock (running out),” Brooks said. “That’s probably the best time to get a shot up because you don’t have to worry about coach saying something. Against the shot clock, you can shoot anything you want.”

    :D :D

So is nate robinson not a starter? Is Derek Fisher not a starter? Brooks is starter quality if he developed those factors, maybe not in a team with Chris Paul in it, but will be in at least an average team.

I didn't say Brooks is just as good as them, I said he can be just as good a starter as anyone else in this league. Which in my dictionary means he can be a good starter as well.

I think its way too early in his career to compare him to a person like AI. He needs to work on his shot and also consistency. The speed is there but in time as we all know, that will slow down too.

He needs a midrange game. I think he's faster than AI in a straight line to the hoop but that's about it, no way he's close to being the next AI.

AB as the next AB is still fun to watch.

Brooks has a pass or attack attitude, while AI was merely a one-man offense, shoot-first player.

Brooks fits in way better on the Rockets with so many talented teammates.
