A potential conversation b/w owner Alexander and Morey (re: letting Lin go)

I read maybe 10-15% of that. More than enough to know that it wasn't even worth reading 1%. What a bunch of incoherent nonsense. What was the point of all that? Are we supposed to hate Morey for Lin's explosion? Do we expect a completely perfect, clairvoyant GM?

And every band wagoner who is so upset at morey for cutting Lin all have selective hearing/reading apparently. How many posts to people need to write explaining that he is a fluke, random occurrence, before u see what's right in front of u? I will reiterate just to humor myself. He was cut by GS. They didn't see this supposed "obvious talent" then we cut him and for maybe even a simple reasoning as we wanted to keep using Lowry/dragic because of how drastic the second half of last season was. And we would even let Flynn have garbage time till his contract expired. Basically we are full up on PG's. And on top of that NYK even let him play and he was garbage. He gets a desperation start and decides he actually wants to play like a good pg and all of a sudden it was so "obvious" you guys are pathetic.

I thought this site was for rockets fans. I'm sure there is some forum u can join to bask in Lin's glory somewhere else.

 

Other than Bima's posts, I have not read a post that is so beautifully written for many many years. It is not about missing Lin, it is all about an incompetent GM who successfully glorified himself(with some help from media) as a genius among the teenagres of Houston.

I hope this Morey followers will follow him to whatever team he is going to work for when Alexander finally show him the door.

If u think he incompetent then u are saying u disagree with every move he made, correct? Or maybe he is human and everyone makes mistakes. Are u saying getting players like scola, patt, Lowry, dragic, d-mo and loads of others that I don't feel like typing were bad moves? Bcuz if he is incompetent then all those are bad moves. Incompetent gm's don't make moves like those. who was done what he has? Who has turned crappy players and contracts into good trades for role players or even trade value?

How many gm's got players that didn't pan out? Or that didn't pick a player and they went on to be great? It happens every year. I guess they are all incompetent.

I know someone as arrogant as u won't see to reason when u are set in your ways. But just maybe there is hope for u. Maybe...

 

You are spot on. I'm tired of hearing all the excuses for Morey. He has just as many misses/mistakes as hits.<p>According to his followers, it was the two superstars fault (Yao, TMac injured and having us trapped for cap room), to Owner (for not letting him do his job by tanking and starting over), to Stern (for rejecting the trade). I can somewhat agree on the Yao and TMac situation, but the other two are wrong.<P>Blaming Stern is crazy. Yes he killed the trade, and although I didn't like the trade I was ticked off. Gathering all these so called assets and not being able to cash in is on Morey. It's like someone taking their retirement and investing in a bunch of penny stocks hoping one or two will bring you a huge gain, but none pans out. Maybe one comes close to breaking through, but falls by the wayside in the last hour. Now you have to start over. Who is to blame? No one but youself.

 

RC Buford traded Scola for nothing. He terrible.

And Geoff Petrie just let Gerald Wallace go into the expansion draft. He is such an incompetent GM.

Lets not forget how Mitch Kupchack traded Caron Butler for Kwame Brown.

I'd still rather have Morey over most of the GMs in this league (not the ones I mentioned above but still most, def over CD).
