Just thought we needed a little normalcy around here, so let's see what everyone is listening to...here's mine: Ben Folds - Rockin' the Suburbs Pat Martino - Live at Yoshi's Flora Purim - Perpetual Emotion Bebel Gilberto - Tanto Tempo Toad the Wet Sprocket - Coil
Its a reggae day here on a disc full of reggae mp3s! Desmond Dekker-Israelites Black Uhuru-Guess whos coming to Dinner Buju Banton-Till Shilo Lee Skratch-Arkology Israel Vibration- Rude Boy Shuffle irie
Jeff, how is the new Ben Folds CD? Right now: Billy Joel - Fantasies and Dilusions - Music For Solo Piano Elton John - Songs From The West Coast The Calling - Camino Palmero Barenaked Ladies - Gordon Gary Burton - For Hamp, Red, Bags and Cal Miles Davis - Milestones Josh Dodes Band - Get Up Liquid Soul - Make Some Noise
Think Elton John/Billy Joel meets Jellyfish/Beach Boys. It is KILLER!!! Plus, he plays EVERY INSTRUMENT except strings! I didn't realize he was a session drummer in Nashville before he became a pianist. Sheesh, talk about talented.
these are the MP3's and CD's I've been listening to lately... Doves - Lost Souls The The - Mind Bomb Frank Black & The Catholics - Dog in the Sand Beach Boys - Pet Sounds The Starseeds - Parallel Life
Fuel-Something Like Human Matchbox Twenty-Mad Season Matchbox Twenty-Yourself or Someone Like You POD-Satellite
Masada- Live in Taipei Randy Weston- Khepara Randy Weston- Saga Earnest Dawkins New Horizons Ensemble- Jo'burg Jump Kahil El'Zabar's Ritual Trio- Big Cliff
I knew he drummed, but had no idea he played in Nashville, let alone in sessions. That's just sick. I still miss Darren Jesse back there supporting the Ben Folds Five. Oh well. I heard a second cut off of the album, "The Ascent of Stan". I really liked it. I might have to go pick up a copy of this album when I get some more cash.

Powderfinger in the CD player... In the DVD player : just got Oasis "familiar to millions" which is brilliant in surround + "the who and guests: live at the royal albert" which is an incredible show!! Jeff or anyone : I am not into Ben Folds, but isn't he the American who married an Australian girl and lives down here? I think I read he lives in Adelaide? Smegg territory I am sure he was doing a host of small shows recently...
