Of course not. Why would Morey bother to debate with some nameless self-important poster here? And he would never boast his own credentials on a fans board. If he ever decided to have some fun with some fans, he would probably just toy with them without disclosing a hint of who he was.
Since you're into stats, randomly select some sample text for this "Morey" and compare it to what's out there from him in interviews and reddit AMAs. You won't be able to rule him in, but you might be able to rule him out, assuming that he communicates in a similar manner.
This probably depends on which 3-point shots we're talking about. But overall, our offensive rebounding% on 3-point misses is about the same as for mid-range misses (20-21%, not including team rebounds). Misses on layups or tip-ins, by contrast, results in an offensive rebound in over 30% of the cases.
why are you so condescending to everyone? it just distracts from any possible relevant data you may have discovered in your findings.
Well hell he still performs well if he hired coaches who perform well. He deserves credit for that, being a huge factor in bringing Dwight to Houston & most of all for being a great leader. The great leaders listen & know when to appoint people who are stronger in areas where they are weak. #TeamMchale
Your reply has nothing to do with his reply. Comprehension is key. (oops, sorry. just trying out your style :grin
uh.. It could be anyone in the Rockets analytics department, or any other sports analytics data groups. Stop making yourself out to sound special.

Same here man, same here. jtr, you're a smart guy and have a lot to offer to this board. You just have to work on your delivery. We're all on the same team here. On the other hand, this thread is just hilarious, so part of me wants to tell you to carry on, business as usual.
It's not that ridiculous. One day on this very forum I was having a discussion with a poster (and no, I won't tell you who) about the fundamentals of being an NBA big man. He had responded to a comment of mine about what post moves Yao should learn given his body type, athleticism, etc. And upon reading it, my jaw dropped. I mean, I am super-duper smart, and this guy showed me up! That just doesn't happen. Upon further reflextion, I realized it was none other than... Carroll Dawson! Think about it: who else knows as much about big man basketball than I do? Nobody, obviously, but if I'm having an off-day, Carroll Dawson just might be able to clear up a mistake I made. It was pretty cool, man. We had no further communication, but, you know, we both knew. You wouldn't be able to pick up on it, but I did. So, I can see where jtr is coming from and I believe him.
