    Though the song is from the 80's I remember distinctly Howard Jones' "Things Can Only Get Better" playing during pre-game warmups in Game 7 of the 1994 NBA Finals.

    Not completely on topic, but Ezra Charles is still out there playing in Houston. The Rockets should have him and his band come out and play a set when they wear throwbacks this year.

    Wild Thang by Tone Loc - i believe it was the first hip hop song to hit #1

    it also used the sample of Jamie's Cryin' from Van Halen I

    This is the one that always comes to mind for me. I can't think of one good reason why it isn't the song during starting lineups today.
