The Obscure 80's music thread got me to thinking about 80's movies...here are some of my faves (obscure or not). Valley Girl (great soundtrack--what lead me to start this thread) Last American Virgin Zapped Xanadu Warriors (although I think it was 79-- but it was in the 80's by the time I saw it) My Bodyguard Even if you hate 80's music (which I love) you gotta admit there were some great movies! I'm sure I'll think of more.
Growing up in the 80's, I remembered the cartoon movies more. The Last Unicorn The Dark Crystal GI Joe the movie Transformers the movie The Secret of Nimh Some of the 80s movies that I liked: The Neverending Story Ghostbusters Indiana Jones Krull Willow Dragon Slayer Short Circuit Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure The list could go on an on.

BMX DARRYL or DARYL, don't remember if there were 2 "R's" Flight of the Navigator Explorers Coming to America Legend The Last Starfighter My Demon Lover Critters Munchies Grimlins Little Monsters - w/ Fred Savage and Howy Mandel Beverly Hills Cop 25 shouldn't be this old should it?
I sat through that movie twice in a row in the theater when it came out because I missed the first 10 minutes the first time. I saw all the other movies I listed in the theater too, but I grew up right behind a movie theater.
Oh, duh, why didn't this ever occur to me, Rick Deckard. I wish I had chosen a favorite character name. The only other person I can think of is Buck Turgidson. BTW, the director of Batman Begins is a huge BR fan, you should see some major influences on the look of the movie. Also, his grapple gun looks like Rick's blaster pistol. Ghostbusters I & II Blues Bros. This is Spinal Tap
VERY underrated movie. A classic, if you will. Just so stupid, but in a good way. For some reason, I love the part where the dog burps.
It was basically a Chachi/Charles in Charge spinoff where Scott Biao has the ability to tear off women's clothes with his mind. The Monster squad was fun.
Anyone remember Electric Dreams??? I wonder how many of these you can get on DVD? I would love to have them!
