So are you saying that he'd be a good pickup because the defensive linemen can be used to "block" for the linebackers in a 3-4 scheme (I don't know if Capers runs it like this)?

 

Joe-I'm saying that he's not capable of making plays on his own. He also didn't seem to make many plays on the outside. Although he's pretty fast, he made plays only on the inside. Derrick Johnson was the biggest playmaker for UT.

 

Also, we have a very small DT, in Seth Payne. I don't know how well Payne will be able to protect the ILBs.

Generally, you'd want a fat DT in a 3-4 to occupy 2 of the 3 interior OL.

 

Sign Hebert, he is good. Plus the fact that I know him too. Did you know his family his well known around Klein area because they have 11 kids. The five oldest boys have all played football here. They are also very nice.
