Even if the almighty Clutchfans community started a campaign that got Chuck Hayes enough votes to be an All-Star, I bet the league would just cover it up and fudge the numbers in favor of a more popular player.

I did the online vote and had a write in of Chuck. I wonder if they'll pass out the voting cards at TC like they have the previous years.

Wade I voted for... then there wasn't anyone else I liked enough to vote for. I thought about both Rondo or Rose... and ended up choosing Rondo merely because he's an ex-Wildcat.

All-Star ballot allow fans to vote by text message
    http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news?slug=ap-all-starballot&prov=ap&type=lgns

DALLAS (AP)—The NBA has released its All-Star ballot and is allowing fans to vote by text messaging for the first time.

Fans can vote once per day, per phone number, by texting a player’s last name to 6-9-6-2-2 (MYNBA). Voting can also be done by paper ballot at each arena and online at www.nba.com.

There are 60 players per conference on the ballot. Fans can vote for two forwards, two guards and a center. Voting began Tuesday and continues through Jan. 10 for paper ballots and Jan. 18 for electronic voting. Starters will be announced Jan. 21.

The game will be played Feb. 14 in Dallas at Cowboys Stadium, where the NBA expects a crowd of more than 80,000, which would be the largest to watch a live basketball game.

Well that's flawed... what if two players have the same last name... Smith or Jones or HAYES! ;)

the "fan" vote is one of the most transparent jokes the NBA has

you can pretty much guess the starters

    kobe
    paul
    dirk
    melo/duncan
duncan/bynum (Yao if he was playing)

    wade
    lebron
    howard
    arenas
    bosh/garnett

Man..I really want to have Brooks in it. It would be fun to watch him in the allstar game. I voted for him, but just know it will be hard for Brooks to get in.

I can't believe Chris Kamen isn't on the list of centers. I'm still going to vote for Chuck, but with only one write in, its a shame that Kamen isn't on the list, cause I was actually being serious on the vote.
