'The domestic courts concluded that it would be lawful for the hospital to withdraw life sustaining treatment because it was likely that Charlie would suffer significant harm if his present suffering was prolonged without any realistic prospect of improvement, and the experimental therapy would be of no effective benefit.

'The domestic court decisions had been meticulous, thorough and reviewed at three levels of jurisdiction with clear and extensive reasoning giving relevant and sufficient support for their conclusions; the domestic courts had direct contact with all those concerned.

'The domestic courts had concluded, on the basis of extensive, high-quality expert evidence, that it was most likely Charlie was being exposed to continued pain, suffering and distress and that undergoing experimental treatment with no prospects of success would offer no benefit, and continue to cause him significant harm.'

Still can't name your mythical successful health care system, eh?

Besides that, this example shows the opposite of what you hope - it's freedom in action. The hospital wanted the right to withdraw care. The family wanted to use the courts to force the hospital to keep the baby alive and facilitate his transport to the US. This goes against everything you believe.

So... according to Trump, those opposing the Trump/republican Senate wealthcare plan are lying about Medicaid cuts... in fact, Medicaid goes up.

This point was also attempted by former House speaker newt Gingrich (who was defending the earlier House version, but it appears the same could be said of the Senate bill.

I have a friend who voted for Trump and he had made fun of Obama care in the past. Last month his wife had a stroke and have to undergo brain surgery, fortunately for him, his cost was capped at the Obama care limit of around 6800. All the fees for doctors, hospital, drugs and rehab would have killed his family even with a pretty good employer insurance that require a payment of 10%. People just do not understand how much out of pocket max and no preexisting condition requirement can save a family's finance until they are in that situation. I am very doubtful he would not vote for GOP again next time even though Obama care saved his family, I take care of my business does not always work in this world.

Fortunately for Trump/republican wealthcare supporters, Fox News comes up with why cutting Medicaid is a really good thing... who knew cutting medicaid is part of Trump's plan to stop opoid abuse?

The horror (bipartisan cooperation to solve the health care issue)! This just shows how broken the republican congress is and why they are unable to accomplishment anything now that they are in control:

Top Senate Republican Mitch McConnell warns of possible bipartisanship on health care

there are a lot of trump supporters that are middle class or lesser at the age of 65 or older, like one of my neighbors who was telling me his hospital bills are getting expensive and more difficult to pay. But there he is with a trump sign in his yard. Do those people rather just bend over and it take as long as its their party? It's puzzling.

As long as you pay taxes, you should be entitled to affordable health care, maybe cut tax refunds by 35% for those that make minimum wage. The taxes paid by the poor can be used for other government spending but it's not good enough for affordable heathcare? where is the sense in that? It is what it is. We can live with it for the 4 or 8 years trump is in charge, that's the beauty of the USA.
but never do I want to hear the words god or good christian coming out of republican politicians.
The hypocrisy makes me want to puke.

Maybe the problem is only having two super contenders, the republicans and the democrats. Spread the wealth, have george p bush and joe kennedy III abandon their ties to their parties and start a unified front, The "FPDRFTPP" (Former Parties Democrats and Republican For The People by the People or the UPPP).

Nobody said it wasn't going up, they said it was being cut. It wouldn't be Trump if he didn't conjure a lie about it. Maybe he can use Amazon's internet taxes to pay for Medicaid.

Yes, and he doesn't seem to understand that it has nothing to do with single payer. His favored healthcare system would create this exact result.

It's technically true, they are still increasing the funding to Medicaid, just not increasing it as much as they want them to. It's an accounting cut but a real life increase. That's how screwed up the government is, you can actually increase the money that programs get and they'll call it a massive cut if you aren't increasing it by how much they want you to increase it by. This is why real spending cuts almost never happen, people freak out when they aren't even real cuts.
