You'd think CF would overwhelmingly support Lin, but it seems more people are rotting against him to make the ASG.

I don't understand all the talk about him getting "exposed." Nobody plays defense in this game until the final 5 minutes. It is what it is, a popularity contest. If anything, it serves as a boost to him and the team. It also could serve to attract potential FAs by playing with two All-Stars in Lin and Harden.

And voting for a LA Clipper player is NOT going to get you backlash? Especially when you publicly declare it on a Rockets forum?
    Lin doesn't need your 'protection'.

Yup. Given my simple-minded bball evaluation of things, I don't see why Lin doesn't deserve a chance.

Jedster please calm down! I don't need your protection either :p

If it makes you feel any better, I wasn't really gonna vote for anyone.
Like I said before, I only voted for Parsons on the first day and then completely forgot. I don't care enough to remember to vote daily, to be honest.

There are millions of Taiwanese/Chinese/Singapore/HongKongese/Pilippino Lin fans... I don't believe their votes were counted. I guess they counted American votes only.

You guys criticize the LOF for rooting for Lin.

At least those guys root for a Rocket.

    How about you guys?

You can't even stand it that Lin is so close to starting in the All Stars.

What is so wrong about Lin being in the All Stars game?

This is not a monarchy where one person gets what he wishes, this is a democracy.

The All Stars game is about fan favorites.

It is not Lin's fault to be so popular around the world.

This just shows how jealous and selfish you guys are.

You guys keep talking about the things that you don't like.

But guess what, the entire world thinks differently.

So suck it up and help one of the players of our team to get in.

You guys call yourself a Rockets fan, but you can't even support all the members of your team.

    Suck it up basement nerds.

Lin will be the starter with Kobe Bryant, Kevin Durant.
    We are not voting yet.

Sigh, it's kinda sad that people, even after the 3rd return, think that Lin will start. I would think after all this time and with the Chinese vote that he already would've passed Chris Paul. If he hasn't passed him now....

You guys ready don't get it if you think Lin is getting the mainland Chinese vote. He is American born 1st then of Taiwan decent. He is NOT getting votes. Yao was favorite son on National Team, their best player, number 1 pick of the NBA.

That is honor in the Chinese sense so Yao was voted in on Rookie season - he was not close to being the best. Did any of you here who is praying that Lin not get voted in thought having a Rocket represent was a bad thing back then?

Did you not get the memo that the staring five was a popular vote affair?

If Obama was in the NBA and everyone wanted a sitting president to be in the Allstar and voted that way he would be in.

I want as many Rockets to be in as possible and that's my vote. Lin may end up not in it this year but there is still time to vote :)

You are entitled to your opinion, no one is stripping that away from you, did anyone stop you from voting for whoever you think is deserving the all-star game?

Personally I don't think Lin should be an all-star starter, and I excise my voting rights according to my believes, BUT I don't try to dictating other people's opinion on this matter. People needs to understand the idea of demacracy is laying at the process of individual expressing their opinions, not at the justice of result.

And to be honest, I think its pretty cool if a Houston All-Star game can showcase two backcourt players from the Rockets.

Lin still has ways to go before he gets those automatic Chinese votes that make him Top 3. Taiwan alone won't be enough to get him in. Only one so far that has those China votes to help get him at #1 is this man:

Hey that's a cool thought, what if Obama is in the NBA while running the presidency.

Well, he will prob get in the All-Star game, but prob will lose the election if he is playing balls at same time. So I'm thinking which voting does Obama taking more seriously.

because i'd rather see chris paul than our own rocket. nobody wants to see an undeserving player play over somebody who should be there.

you are a moron and a newb if you think otherwise

The All Stars game is not about who is better than who?

The All Stars game is a gathering of fan favorite players.

It is not about talent, it is about who is more popular than who?
