They should have like 3 all star games, one voted by the fans/ two voted by the coaching staff/ and three by David Stern...
I seriously just feel bad for Lin. He didn't really ask for any of this. I dont understand why they just dont make players and coaches do the votes.
from 1951 until 1974 sportwriters and sportcasters had the first vote.... 1974 "...was the last time that the starting five and three bench players (one per position) were chosen by sportwriters and sportcasters. Since 1975 the NBA All-Star selections have been left to the fans who vote to determine the starting fives. NBA coaches complete the roster. Until 1973 each NBA team has to be represented in the All-Star Game with 1 player, and a maximum of 3 players." http://www.allstarnba.es/ballot/1974.htm Rules change. It has been a popularity contest since 1975. It is what it is... a moneymaker for the NBA.
houston rockets, jeremy lin, and asian people will look bad if Lin is an all star. He does not deserve it and he should refuse the invite.
plenty of players have been voted in when they didnt deserve it.... the difference is they were already established players and former all stars who got voted in for their past accomplishments. Lin hasnt done anything to warrant inclusion into the main all star game.
