He was going to be the starter next to Dwight when D12 came back.

Hope this isn't serious. Get well soon T. Jones we need you out there big fella.

Way to find a way to push your agenda here. Classy.

Hoping this is nothing too serious. Kid has had a rough season.

Having our backup PF out for a while will suck because it hurts depth but c'mon, cost us home court? If Dwight gets back fairly soon we'll be just fine.

I disagree. The Dwight and DMo line is a much better starting lineup and I think they were going to stick with it.

Wishing him a speedy recovery isn't "pushing an agenda".

Ah, well I support your decision to wear the tin foil hat, but that doesn't mean I buy into your paranoia.

But saying he's coming off the bench in the playoffs & calling him a back up PF is.

It's really not. He'll be really important for us coming off the bench providing a spark....saying so isn't some agenda, it's just stating the obvious.

This is only true if Dwight buys into the team concept and doesn't demand the ball in the post. But if the start of the season tells us anything, it's that TJones is a better fit with Dwight.

Well, when you make an assertion ("[TJ] will be important for us coming off of the bench") which AFAIK isn't based on any statements from McHale, the coaching staff or the players, combined with the fact that you have made it clear that you are a proponent of D-Mo starting at the PF when Dwight comes back, it's pretty easy to see why people might think you are pushing an agenda, whether consciously or unconsciously.

Either way, I think nearly everyone is in unison that TJ hurt is a blow to the Rockets going forward as the team enters the home stretch towards the playoffs.

We'll see, either way we should keep this thread about Jones' injury instead of trying to turn it into another "who's your favorite Rockets PF" thread. Let's not let KlutchQT derail the thread with nonsense.

Hopefully just a bruise. I bruised a rib once and I couldn't even get up on my own power it was so painful. So it's a good sign at least that he could go to the bench on his own power I would think.

Cracked ribs was one of the most painful injuries I ever had, every breath hurts like hell. I absolutely shredded one of my knees and the ribs hurt worse.

It could have been McHale just talking without knowing...but the fact that he just called it soreness is at least mildly encouraging. He didn't hit us with the "we'll see how the results come back" or something like that. I feel like if it was serious, there would be more buzz about it.

You're right, soreness from the ribs is brutal pain at first. If it's just that, let him sit a few games and he should be good to go soon enough. Hopefully that's the case.
