Spurs 27: 23 Hornets end of the 1st quarter.

The spurs made SIX 3s! Manu made 3 and Bowen made 3.

The NO Hornets are either really stupid or geniuses. What I don't understand is why they didn't walk the ring of fire to the tunnel and extinguish it there instead of on the court.

Looking at the replay, they already have taken the ring off. Two guys were holding it. Somebody had a brain fart and might cause an injury to someone

I think he meant it would be dangerous to take a still flaming ring through the fans into the back. The problem was that their CO2 extinguishers didn't work and they didn't have a suitable backup plan.

Bonzi just gave Bowen a little taste of his own medicine. Nice.

I think every NBA fan except Spurs ones cheered for Bonzi on that hard foul on Bruce Bowen.

Are the Hornets pumping noise into the arena? The boos throughout the possession are fine, but it sounds like there is also a reverberating noise too, which reeks of fake noise. I know the Hornets have admittedly done this before like 3 or 4 years ago, but it'd be weird if they're doing it during the playoffs.

    Edit:
Okay, there's definitely fake noise going on. It's like a background buzzing "boo" noise. It's only happening when the Spurs have the ball, which is understandable. Again, it's fine that the crowd is booing the Spurs, but there are times when you can tell that the crowd isn't, but there's a background reverb that cuts in and out on key. That's pretty annoying imo. The loud boos are fine...only slightly annoying, but having that reverb boo the entire possession is just irritating to the ears.

    Edit 2:
My mistake about New Orleans admitting to fake noise before. I got my memory mixed up. They faked attendance figures 3 years ago.

Dumb mascot jumping thru ring of fire.

The New Orleans Hornets mascot dives through a ring of fire during a break in the action against the San Antonio Spurs in the first half of Game 1 in the second round of the NBA basketball playoffs series Saturday, May 3, 2008, in New Orleans. The game was delayed when the fire was extinguished and spray from the fire extinguishers sprayed the floor.
