Too many #s thrown around by Harris and Biden, like they learned nothing from uber-wonk Hillary. Structure and questions just awful. "We think so and so insulted your penis! Please comment."
Gillibrand can't drop out soon enough lol. FWIW, Biden has done a great job tonight as far I'm concerned. He's getting hit but he hasn't looked feeble.
This is my first time hearing him and I am loving all of his responses... He is staying with the issues... T_Man
I thought Biden did pretty well tonight. It also felt like there have already been exploratory discussions between Biden and Gabbard re: the VP slot. Gabbard went after Harris hard and then went with the "we were all lied to" in defense of Biden's original Iraq position. She was a big help to Biden tonight.
I hate the candidates who have zero chance tearing down Biden -- one of a few who may actually be the candidate. They are putting their egos and own hoped for careers over what they state their beliefs to be.
Oh, I agree. I think so many people attacking him made him out to be a sort of victim, it strengthened him more than anything, even if people got a few good shots in at him, he stood strong and swung back.
I don't know if I'm being a homer here, but tonight felt great. Gabbard landed a much deserved and much needed haymaker on Harris and Yang was sharp as a tack. Both got a lot more airtime than I figured they would. Hell, even the questions felt better and the candidates followed the rules more. It was a much more pleasant viewing experience. I may wake up tomorrow to feel entirely different but I'm going to bed a very happy man tonight.
I missed most of this debate but from what little I saw I was very impressed with Booker’s closing statement. Telling his family story was very effective and he delivered it well. In many ways it reminded me of Obama and Reagan in terms of its hopefulness. Andrew Yang also did very well and his line about reality TV was great. Julien Castro seemed presidential in a way that he was calm and collected. That he got one of his opponents, albeit one with little chance, to concede Castro said what he meant to say Shows how effective Castro was. From what little I saw though it Looked like both Biden and Harris underperformed. Harris sounded very negative and I think she is too much in prosecutor mode. Biden still doesn’t look like he has command of the situation and to put it bluntly just seems old. I’ll admit ive never been a Biden fan and have found his shtick annoying but this doesn’t seem like the Biden if the Senate grilling Bush’s judicial nominees or the “Big f^%ing deal! VP” but one who is jut trying to hang on and ride his lead. I’ll try to listen to the rest of the debate later.
