I voted for Asik, Harden, Lin, Parsons, Cousins, James, Battier, Lowry, Wade, Garnett, and Ed friggin Davis (write-in), the dudes I wanted to see in a ******* exhibition game. Yao had the right attitude when he ran into Tom Thibodeau, "Coach! What the hell are you doing here? This is the NBA All Star game. It has nothing to do with defense!"

Seriously, guys, who deserves to be popular? Gimme a break. This ain't judging gymnastics in the Olympics.

I find it amusing that all the veterans on this site is saying who cares and admitting they voted for Lin and the other rockets cuz they realize the whole all stars is just a joke anyways, while everyone else is freaking out over nothing

Your cup is half-empty. My cup is half-full.

What if after we vote Lin in All Star, he started to say, "The fan thinks I am worthy of All Star, I better play like one!"

Now he is dropping so many games with 20/10. Rockets will be the number one team in SouthWest Division.

Wow, My cup is half-full, half-full.

Unlikely. Lin is already a hard worker doubt added pressure will make him any better.

Why would Lin be any worse than Carter, Iverson or TMac when they were undeservedly voted in?

    Racism abounds.

I wonder why Westbrook/Parker is better than Harden statistic wise? Also factor in Houston is the host, I bet Harden will be in, no question.

Yes, Racism is clearly involved -_- voters are picking lin because of his ethnicity instead of his skills.

Stupid voters that voted in Carter, Iverson, and T-Mac come in all colors and sizes.

If Lin plays in the All-Star game, I'll be cheering him on, but I think a lot of fans would like to see the starting lineups be reflective of the game's moniker. Maybe I'm crazy for wanting to see the best of the West against the best of the East. I'm a little less interested in a game pitting the favorites of the West against the favorites of the East.

On the OTHER hand, if Lin and Harden DID get into the All Star game this year, maybe they would get a few of those "Superstar" calls that certain players seem to get so often.

After all, the League does protect it's Wallet...

    Just saying...

There are 12 spots so coaches select 7 players. Unless Harden falls off the planet he's in. He is a superstar, 4th leading scorer in the league and widely regarded as the best shooting guard not named Kobe. With all respect to CP3 or Tony Parker, James Harden is in even if JLin gets voted in.

If JLin gets voted in then this is how I think it will go.
    Voted in by fans:
    JLin
    Kobe
    KD
    Blake Griffin
    Dwight Howard

    Pick by coaches :
    CP3
    Tony Parker or Russell Westbrook
    James Harden
    Rudy Gay
    LaMarcus Aldridge or Kevin Love
    Tim Duncan
    Zach Randolph or David Lee

I know, I know! Anybody with Chinese genes should have their vote counted as 3/5 of a vote.

Not exactly for this year's All Star, but when Yao Ming edged Shaq for the starting spot, he did so by having more paper votes. Shaq has more online votes. And we're talking of Yao Ming here, China's favorite son.

So maybe the China votes is not really that much?

He doesn't deserve? What does that really mean?
Does Kobe really deserve to be an All Star? Why? Is it because of his stats? Have you watched all his games so far? Or is it because of Espn sportscenter highlights? Are we supposed to look at players stats before we vote? Chandler might not have all the stats but he is one my favorite player and I think he does a lot for our current Rockets. The only time I see Kobe play was against our rockets.

Wake up folks, I lot of Harvard/Ivy league fans, Christians, Bay area/Californians,some hurt Knicks fans and few rockets fans rather see Lin out there on the court balling and they are not Asians. I voted for Lin/Harden/Parsons/Asik and I am in USA. And please stop calling me moron because I chose to be a Rockets first.

Hopefully this will be the catalyst for people to stop taking All-Star game participation as a measure of player level seriously. That's what the All-NBA teams are for.

I still do not understand why there is so much angst over Lin getting in from ROCKETS' fans. Why no teeth gnashing and hair pulling over Howard or Pau Gasol???

Lin is more deserving than either of those guys. And its not like there were other players voted in the past who were not as deserving. It's like Lin is damned if he does and damned if he doesn't. Any vote, no matter what arena (poll, election, etc.) is subjective.
