No one said China the country itself was disgusting just the LOF's voting for a player who himself has admitted he's played "terribly" this year. He already gets enough unnecessary hate as it is. A real fan wouldn't vote for him because of the obvious backlash from him potentially becoming an all star this year Perhaps you're right about China but there's no doubt in my mind a large chunk of those votes are from people of Asian descent.
For those who blame Lin or his fans for Harden receiving only 283,691 votes, get real. Harden was the 6th man in a small market team last year. He's been playing like a superstar this season, but the season is only 1/3 way through, and we've been on national tv how many times? Actually, most people in Houston don't even get to see Harden play. Melo received 891,759 votes. LoFs won't vote for Melo. Yes, Harden deserves better, but it's not Lin or his fan's fault that he's not getting as many votes.
Confession: I've voted many, many, times for Lin via text. Harden, Parsons, and Asik as well. I vote only Rockets in. So sue me.
Hasn't this already happened? Every major city seems to have a China Town. Every clothing and shoes I purchase are made in China. Hell, every year more and more jobs pick up and move to China.
Lin always acknowledge and thank his fan for support. I voted for Durant/Asik/Parsons/Harden/Lin. Nothing to be ashame. I just wanted to show my support. You can show your support for Harden(and rest of Houston players) by voting for him and show up at the Toyota Center!
lmao... i love this people complaining about the voting and stuff, meanwhile missing the point that the whole damn NBA is a joke.
come on lin, take 9 more shots like westbrick to give the perception you're a scorer! With harden beasting, you will get credit for some of the wins too, shoot more! Can't believe the hatred this kid gets from his own fan base. Actually, I can believe it. the whole all star game is a joke that none of those mofos take seriously.
I changed my mind and just voted for Lin like 1 minute ago. HELL YEAH!!! Would be so happy if he embarrases himself on national TV
That is EASY. Here are some random ideas: 1. Limit the scope of the CANDIDATEs Instead of having that long a list of candidates, let's have a short list, containing ONLY those who are "deserving" to be an all-star 2. Limit the scope of the VOTERs Only these rational fans are qualified to vote, and photo IDs are required if needed. A Chinese voter is allowed to vote only after he promises to not vote on LIN and his track record shows he can keep his promise. Then LIN would not be an issue anymore. The true clutch fans have satisfying smiles on their face at last, just like me
just cased in another vote for lin, one of my many many votes for him already also did not vote for harden
I think the humble Lin would be first to tell you that he has no business starting at this year's All-Star game over Kobe, Paul, Westbrook, or Harden.
Who cares?, he's not getting in. I knew this backlash would happen when I saw the results. People are so predictable with their drama.
all the "I really hope lin does't make the allstar team" comments really confuse me. Hes a Houston Rocket, why the hell wouldn't you want a player on your OWN team to make an allstar team?
The negative energy which you are feeling is not directed at Jeremy Lin, but at those 2012'ers who are so over the top with explanations and excuses for poor play. It's not discrimination to point out bad play, or to compare the relative merits of elite players.
