Haha yes, I'm good with this. Durability is going to be an issue with him and his neck injury. High IQ player but always going to be questions there.
I fully expect a run on players that the Texans would love to have coming at the end of the 1st or early 2nd. That being said, I beat the drum on giving Caserio time to fix the roster cluster**** he inherited and then start building it back. He's proven to be totally competent if not excellent, so I trust this process. So weird to say that I have more faith in the Texans' braintrust than I do in the Astros'...but that's the timeline I'm living in.
Per Lance Z: Rare five-year starting quarterback whose play has matured in front of our eyes. Nix displays the accuracy, arm talent and athleticism consistent with today’s brand of pro quarterback. He can be punctual in getting the ball out at the top of his drop or he can work through progressions and beat defenses with second-reaction plays. He throws with good velocity and puts the ball on the money when throwing on the move. Nix has shown great improvement with his pocket poise. He’s capable of moving the sticks as a scrambler or as part of the running game. Some of his gaudy production has been driven by the Oregon offense’s design, but his talent clearly stands out. I’ve harbored bias from watching the overwhelmed version of Nix during his Auburn days, but as the saying goes, “tape don’t lie.” Nix appears more than ready to attack the league with an NFL-caliber skill set.
Nonsense tweet. Kirk is 36 and is effectively on a 2 year deal with a team option for a 3rd. If he's "stunned" he's an idiot.
I hear that. My personal take on this is, Oregon had to dumb down their offense for a 5th year starter and typically you would a seasoned starting QB being able to make plays for the receivers vs lots of outside, underneath type throws. His college tape from this year was like a poor man's Mac Jones - but all the more power to Sean Payton. His success will depend on how well Payton believes Bo's skill set aligns with his offensive scheme and his coaching philosophy, but Bo is probably in one of his best possible landing spots.
