Ladd McConkey reminds me of Earnie Ladd, who I believe played Football before becoming a wrestler.. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ernie_Ladd
I wouldn't either, but I would hate losing more picks to do that with so many spots to fill depth wise at CB, wide receiver, Defense, OLine, safety, and RB. We won't have a lot of salary cap space for big money players down the road when CJ signs his new contract.
His site is crap but his sources are legit https://walterfootball.com/nfl-hot-press-teams-dont-see-ladd-mcconkey-in-first-round.php
Ot is a need as Howard has not proven to be durable. It is a fairly deep OT draft. I suspect the Texans might use their third round pick if they like what they see there, certainly an option in the fourth.
if we use a day 2 pick on a back up for Howard, I would be very upset. we also already signed two back ups (David Sharpe and Charlie Heck). Howard is a top 10 paid offensive tackle on the 2nd year of his 4 yr contract, clearly the Texans see him as the starter.
Pro Football Focus and it's draft simulator show a need for OT. That's all it takes to convince the hoards. All it took was speculation the Texans MIGHT need to cover RT IF Tytus Howard wasn't available to start the season after his injury.
Why do I keep hearing Arizona wanting to trade out of #4. Makes no damn sense to me. They need a #1 WR and they sit in a position that allows them to pick one of the most talented WR to come out into the draft ever.
They need depth on their roster. Trading that one pick for 2-3 picks that could be starting players makes sense for them. Nick and Demeco think the 2nd and 3rd rounds this year are particularly loaded with talent.
