    Crazy run.

Trade down from 23 to 26 and pick up 57:

    26 Johnny Newton DT
    57 T'Vondre Sweat DT
    59 Byron Murphy II DT
    124 Jaylen Wright RB
    128 Cam Hart CB

If this really happened, Newton would probably move to DE/EDGE with his hyper elite flexibility.

Newton and WAJ on the edges and Sweat and Murphy inside with Collins rotating in and providing veteran input. We might actually stop third and short tush push.

Murphy is not dropping down to 2nd round, especially at 59.

    No Trades

23 Chop Robinson EDGE Penn State
    https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nf...mance-was-similar-to-byron-youngs/ar-BB1jaJA9

    59 Ja'Lynn Polk WR Washington
    Height: 6 - 2 | Weight: 205 | RAS: 9.46

Polk’s fluidity as an athlete grants him all-encompassing versatility, both as a separator and an offensive weapon.

He can be used on motions and on multiple planes, and when working against stems in off-man and zone, he has the angle IQ, deceptive intent, and throttle control to create space for himself.-Ian Cummings 1/8/24

86 Braden Fiske DT Florida State
    Height: 6 - 5 | Weight: 304 | RAS: 9.88

    https://duckduckgo.com/?q=Braden+Fi...i=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_GL5FNomOnA

    124 Theo Johnson TE
    • 6'6"
    • 259
    • Johnson has reliable hands and shows the willingness to make catches in traffic over the middle.
    • Although Johnson is more of a possession target than a field stretcher, he fiercely competitive demeanor and run-after-catch ability make him a major threat in the middle of the field.
    • Johnson runs like a wide receiver, explosive off the line of scrimmage with exceptional quickness and body control for his size.
    • His prototypical size, length and reliable hands push him into the developmental prospect category
    • Good strength and effort to run through arm tackles.
    • Soft hands and good concentration level with obvious toughness in congested areas.
    https://duckduckgo.com/?q=Theo+John...i=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2ratvWL0bM4

    128 Jaylen Wright RB
    • Wright runs with violence; he’s capable of thrashing through tacklers, and Wright has the natural balance to withstand contact.
    • He keeps his pads low and consistently falls forward. Unlike most backs his size, he has the lateral movement and stop-start ability to make defenders whiff. He has breakaway speed in the open field.
    • Made Bruce Feldman's Freak's List - ranked #24. He wrote " The 5-11 Wright is up to 200 pounds but displayed some serious juice this offseason, clocking 23.6 mph in practice. Beyond that, Wright vertical-jumped 44 inches and did a 10-8 broad jump."
    • He gets low and rarely absorbs significant contact, and he shows a nice blend of quickness and patience, maximizing his blocking.
    • He is a natural playmaker, at his best with the ball in his hands.
    • He shows good vision and good explosion upfield once he plants his foot. Wright has lateral movement skills and enough speed to threaten big plays. He’s excellent in the passing game, capable of flexing out as a receiver and creating mismatches against linebackers, and he’s a solid back in the screen game.
    • Fits a zone system, can sift through oncoming traffic and explode through tiny creases and cutback lanes. Elite, darting stop-and-go acceleration. Dangerous in the open field.

I think the Texans will be drafting Byron Murphy in the first round. This team desperately needs to stop the run game From opposing teams.

if they think they are serious contenders, then they need to franchise Greenard.

I know that the CB’s are enticing, and there is a group of about 5 that looks to be 1st round grade, but it’s very reasonable to assume they may all be gone by the 23 pick. With it being a pass first league, 1st round CB talents are indispensable. Plus there should be solid CB’s in the 2nd round.

At 23 you want a difference maker, and Byron Murphy looks to wreck havoc in the trenches.

    86.Ruke Orhorhoro DT Clemson
    124.Theo Johnson TE Penn State

This is all I could hope for REALISTICALLY.

Solves DL, adds 3 weapons for CJ.

Focus on DBs and LBs in FA. Don't forget to get Fairbairn and Johnson. The pittance in savings is NOT WORTH IT.

I don't want to push money into the future yet with high dollar players we want to retain starting to come off their rookie contracts in 2025. We'll need it then.

I'm with you, but it seems the direction NC wants to go - unless he is playing possum.
If it is the case he wants to push it, he must have his eye on someone or some deal he needs to get done next season.
It also means they are pretty happy with the team as is with what they perceive as draft successes and maybe one splash signing and a few bargain type FAs.

The only OL I've drafted is Bortolini OC at 128 when Theo Johnson was off the board at 124, so I drafted Jaylen Wright RB at 124.

I think Jaylen Wright is going to be overdrafted with the way Devon Achane played last year. Not saying they are the same but teams could think he could duplicate that with the speed he has. I really hope we can get him in the 3rd or 4th.

Lost me immediately at taking yet another OL with our FIRST PICK. It’s like none of y’all have followed the team… there is ZERO chance they do that. And it would be dumb for them to do.

    Post Schultz signing.

    23. Chop Robinson EDGE Penn State
    Height: 6 - 3 | Weight: 220 lbs | RAS: 9.69

    59. Darius Robinson EDGE Missouri
    Height: 6 - 5 | Weight: 295 lbs | RAS: 8.83

    86. Xavier Legette WR South Carolina
    Height: 6 - 3 | Weight: 227 lbs | RAS: 9.92

    124. Jaylen Wright RB Tennessee
Height: TBD | Weight: TBD lbs | RAS: 9.81

Given how good Wright's tape already is, and his versatile skills as a runner and pass catcher, teams could fall in love with him early and launch him into day two of the draft as the classes top running back in a crowded class.

    128. James Williams LB Miami (FL)
    Height: 6 - 5 | Weight: 218 lbs | RAS: 4.46

You could have Nico (4.43), Tank (4.49), Legette (4.39), Schultz (4.75) and Wright (4.38) out of the backfield as targets for C J.
