Such a great value pick ! Felt like a first round pick in other words

all we need now is some low T booster shots for the OL - and help in the draft as needed

Another thing, seeing these Dell highlights. It solidifies for me to draft a WR to take the top off the defense.

so many of dell’s highlights were short routes under the coverage.

also, don’t want Higgins or Evans. Higgins is a Nico clone (size and speed wise), and Evans, while I think he and stroud could do wonders, I think we need more of a complementary WR (big and fast, to be a redzone and deep threat) and not another #1 receiver that will take all the targets from Dell and Nico. Let Nico and Dell beat you all game, then hit ‘Em over the top every once in a while for the mail in the coffin.

spend the Evans money on Barkley and/or DLine.

That video just shows me how inaccurate CJ is. Missed so many to Dell. Time to cut bait and trade that bum and draft a real QB.

I completely agree. I will not be upset if they sign Evans... well, yeah - I will be upset. I don't think he significantly moves the needle. And I think he's a Nico clone, too - big guy with straightline speed that doesn't have that twitchy, Tyreek/McCaffery-like speed that I think this offense lacks.

OK. We choose 3 FAs to shore up the team.

    O WR - Mike Evans $ years $84M ($21M/yr)
    D LB - Patrick Queen 5-$90M ($18M/Yr)
    BB RB - Derrick Henry 1 - $4.3M

    Draft
    1-23 Brock Bowers - TE
    2-59 Bralen Trice - Edge
    3-86 Johnny Wilson - WR
    4-123 Peyton Wilson - LB
    4-127 Jared Wiley - TE

You quickly spend the FA money and will have to let some keepers go. Unlikey to keep Greenard, Schultz and/or Niko. But their replacements are upgrades on long term or rookie contracts which will ease the post rookie extension of CJ.

I envision Trice as a 3 tech and WAJ playing edge from a LB role with containing and covering diversity. Evan upgrades Niko, at lease initially and Bowers replaces Schultz on a round 1 rookie deal. The two Wilsons' and Wiley add depth and Red Zone skills. Whether Singletary joins Henry in the backfield is a coin flip. I think using Jordan as a RB might be considered as he adds speed, route running and at least improving blocking at a position which rarely has all three.

One of the LBs may play more safety than LB in a defense where traditional roles are blended.

So much delusion here. Evans is said to be commanding more...Texans wont go there unless it is lower than $20m. I'm not paying Queen $18mil a year., Henry is getting more than 4.3m.

Bowers is going Top 10-Top15 at the latest.

You may be right, but I'm just using about 90% of spotrac estimates and a marginal draft simulator. It's really an exercise showing how quickly our HUGE cap space can go away if we actually try improving via FA. You can't field a team where everyone receives what the average fan thinks they are worth.
