What did I agree with Mr. Bad Take Boulevard? Just say you've never had to meet a payroll, love to give your money to the govt and move on. NTW, how's BOB gonna do since the best this great GM/HC could do was land a 2nd tier HC job?
@raining threes and @cmoak1982 are pretty good contributors from what I've seen. Don't know who the other two posters are. Why don't you take this to pm's and not ruin the thread with trivial drama
Until @cmoak1982 admits how horrid his takes were about Stroud and Levis. I will have a hard time taking anything he says serious.
I'm admittedly not familiar with that. Was before my time here. Even though it's not on the record here but I was also skeptical on the Stroud pick. I wanted Anderson which worked out in the end. Was extremely happy to be wrong about CJ. Didn't think much if Levis then nor do I now. Feel the same about McCaffrey this year
I have about Stroud. Not wrong about Levis. When are you going to own up to your misses? Alp? And others. You can check my track record, Stroud and Zach Wilson. That’s it. That’s the list I’ve been wrong about.
I wanted Anderson. For some reason they get mad because I said I would take Levis over Stroud predraft. They always leave out that I said I would take Bryce, Levis and AR over CJ. And that the only QB I would take is Bryce at 2. It doesn’t fit their narrative.
To be fair, I did hate on CJ hard. Most of it was to the same few blow hards that always run their mouths. They have their biases, if you read long enough you can figure it out.
Man, I knew we were both wrong on Stroud. Didn’t know we also matched on Zach Wilson. I was dying for that 2nd overall pick from the jets for Watson to get Wilson.. so glad I don’t make the decisions lol.
You, along with most of the Stroud detractors, have also admitted you were wrong and ate the crow for it
Yeah, we have our misses. It happens. Hard to evaluate mental ability. Wilson is still one of the most gifted QBs in the league. Doesn’t matter if he’s an idiot.
Apparently there’s a growing rift in the Bears fanbase between the pro Fields and anti Fields fans. The pro fields fans, against the trade and against Caleb, now have CJ as the standard of what a rookie QB should perform like. I say this just to remind everyone that no matter what, CJ is lining up under center, I truly believe there’s no game the Texans can’t win with him, and it’s just a great thing
Falling in love with pro days is one thing. Watching guys throw with anticipation and tight windows is another. If there is one skill that will always translate to the NFL. Its the combo of accuracy and anticipation. Won't surprise me in the slightest when Penix or Mcdaniels ends up being the QB1 from the group.
Exactly, But there are a couple of blowhards that like to ridicule others when they miss on draft picks. I would have less issues with them if they would admit they've been wrong on things like BOB. You'll never see this because of their arrogance. I just tend to LOL at the misguided.
Yeah, as good of a dude as CJ is, incoming rookie QBs are probably not his biggest fan due the bar he set for rookie QBs. Even the best, highly rated can't miss type prospects are going to find it tough to live up to those expectations.
Guys, I had a nightmare last night… I don’t remember the exact details, but it was something like we traded CJ Stroud. I think we had Tua and Waddle in the end? I dunno, I can’t remember, but I do remember being so upset that we ruined a good thing. Man, I was so happy to wake up. It felt so real and depressing.
