You love your opinion pieces don't you? I am specifically talking about lies being presented as facts. If you want to show were Democrats are making a big deal of the entirety of Iran mourning this guy go for it, although I am not even sure what it matters what percentage of Iranians are mourning him. The issue of killing him wasn't about how popular it would be in Iran. And it's not propaganda to say Trump is wagging the dog. There's not strategy behind this action. None. It's obvious there isn't. It just seems random and reactionary. Because it is! Trump is either getting sick of being restrained and finally gets to push his button he always talks about, and/or he is desperate to distract the country from impeachment and give them something else to talk about. It's probably both.

Satire can be propaganda but it's not always propaganda. It depends on the truthfulness of the underlying message (not on the satire itself). Nazis use satire with great effect as propaganda. In this instance with the babylon bee - the headline is obviously satirical. Democrats obviously don't want the flag to be flown at half mast. But it's far darker because the underlying message is that Democrats are sympathetic to Soleimani - and that underlying message of the satire is in fact propaganda because it's simply not true. Dems are not sympathetic to the general but rather disagree with the method uses to rid ourselves of him.
