The only reason I would take one Little is because the Texans now definitely need a LT. Little has played LT a lot more and is more consistent at that position. That's why the Texans need to sign a veteran to slot in at LT so they have flexibility in who to draft. If you absolutely need a LT right now it is Dillard at 1. and then Little at a distant 2.
McClain profiled him for the chron too: https://www.houstonchronicle.com/sp...eb-McGary-has-faced-unfathomable-13659650.php Wonder if he knows something?!
Ya. Think Little has some bust potential with him while Ford can possibly move inside if things don’t work out OT. Would be pretty happy with either guy though. Absolutely agree on bringing in a vet. Penn would really be the perfect bridge.
People are looking at the fact that Little doesn't play through the end of the whistle often and blowing that up into being an indicator that he is lazy or has a bad attitude, etc. I don't know Little, so maybe that's really who he is, but I'm pretty sure most of the people selling that narrative don't know Little either. I see as many signs of laziness or disinterest from Jawaan Taylor as I do from Little, but nobody brings it up with Taylor. Again, I obviously know neither personally, but it seems to me that there is a lot of extrapolation and projection where people are psychoanalysing him through his play between the whistles with Greg Little.
You always have to be skeptical of pre-draft reports. Teams with other needs with a high first might be trying to bump him down to their high second. You have to trust your teams evaluation when the pick is on the clock, Little has been easily dominate his whole life, high school, college , probably junior high. How will he respond when challenged at his own level? Much like Trent Brown, you can do a credible job just from being huge. At worst he is still rated above the #23 pick, I'm getting the feeling he's our guy.
Same...I'm all in for Little at 23 unlike most posters. I think some scouts are trying to make his value go down so they can get their hands on him.
Think a big part of it is that Little was somewhat inconsistent and didn't quite live up to the exceptions. He possesses everything you want in a franchise LT (size, athleticism, experience, talent, etc..) yet we're seeing him consistently ranked as the 5th/6th ranked OT. Not sure if it's all a narrative but we'll see on draft day. On paper, Little should easily be the first lineman taken.
I'll take 23 only if he starts as a guard or swing tackle and takes over at RT next year after Henderson leaves. I'm not sure I want him at LT. I think Mullen is overrated. McGovern is yet another G/C who probably is better at C I'd love Traveyon Williams but don't see how he lasts till the 5th round.
