I'll be the first and probably only one to say it. I like these strictly as jerseys, but that's it. I don't think they're acceptable as "CITY" versions.. or "STATEMENT" or any other variation, but if 18 NBA teams around the league got special Chinese New Year jerseys for those few particular games in February then I would think these would be in the upper half... Obviously, as fans we don't want this to be a CITY jersey since it has nothing to do with Houston. And that I can understand why people hate the jersey. Simply because it doesn't represent Houston or the Rockets, and it is merely targeting a market for profits. And I agree with this sentiments. But these are probably the best rendition of Chinese Rockets jerseys the team has had so far, and I actually don't think these are ugly unlike the other ones. This would be the 4th, no? The red sleeved jerseys, the Adidas away jersey, and the Nike away jersey. I think this one looks a lot more appealing than any of those. A lot less boring, and more flashy. It just pops in my opinion. The cloud pattern is nice, and it isn't too strong or obnoxious. If they were white or even highlighted as gold then it could possibly be a huge eyesore. I need to see better lighting on it though... I do like the cloud pattern, and the gold outlines look good to me. I wish they had done these for last season, so the team could have moved away from China. No need for two Chinese jerseys in a row..

Well given that we were always definitely going with a Chinese theme and that the colors had been leaked... eh. Ok. To be fair, I probably wouldn't have purchased a jersey no matter what design they did, so what do I care.
Imma buy me this jersey. Two or three of them. Then save it in an airtight bag. Because 25 years down the line, they’re gonna be hot. And there gonna be so valuable.
