Orlando Brown is not being mentioned anywhere for the 2nd round. If he drops to us, is he still a no-brainer. Hope there's not a huge run on TE's and we can get a decent one. Blocking aspect is probably more important than pass catching.
I'm not much of a draftnik. I just remember that Armani Watts was all over the field for the Aggies. Where might he go? I think guys that were the heart and sole of a defensive unit are usually successful at the next level and worth a look.
I give Baker Mayfield less than a 10% chance of succeeding in Cleveland. You take a very volatile player and mix that with a notoriously horrible organization? It just keeps getting better and better up there.
You like adding other teams backup OL in FA and an injured RB with an injury no RB has ever comeback from. OK This team has very talented players but lacks depth all over the roster and doesn't even have a starting level TE or 2 OT's. But if you think they are really talented then we will have to agree to disagree.
Zierlein's day two mock 68. Brian O'Neill - OT, Pittsburgh 80. Anthony Averett - CB, Alabama 98. Dalton Schultz - TE, Stanford
I fell out of my chair last night LMAO when Cle took Baker Mayfield aka Johnny Manziel Version 2. That Dorsey actually bought into his line of BS was amazing to see. There actually is a sucker born every minute. Needless to say the fans in Cle are not amused judging from their comments online. Between this and watching the silly antics of the Cowsheep, it was a most entertaining evening.
why do we have to go for a TE that is only known for his blocking. Go get a threat for TE (Help Watson out) they want another CJ. Seriously..
I wouldn't mind them going all OL in the 3rd. I know they won't, but still. Orlando Brown, Braden Smith Brendan Mahon Great haul if you ask me.
Because it is easier to get a good blocking tight end to become good at receiving than it is to get a good receiving tight end to be good at blocking.
Labeling Baker as Johnny 2.0 is easily the laziest opinion of this draft cycle. Baker is a more accurate passer, a lesser scrambler and (despite his own off-field concerns) is far less of an off-field risk than Manziel. Baker is cocky and got himself in trouble with public intoxication and running from the cops. While that's definitely nothing minor, Johnny was essentially an alcoholic, a drug addict and hanging out with extremely negative influential people. Baker is a risky pick but he's going to be much better than Johnny was.
Watching the highlights, I liked O'Neil much more than Noteboom. O'Neil seems to always be in the right angles for blocks, is very impressive athletic wise for an OT which I think help supports Watsons style more ..rest of the way let's go OG and im happy lol
