sucks not being involved in the 1st or 2nd round :(... But happy we have deshaun.
I just really wished they would have just cut ties with Osweiler, instead of treading a 2nd.. We would have had a pick very ealry in the 2nd this year

The Mayfield talk is good press from Browns.

Going for the trade down I see.

The amount of hype around Baker to the Browns seems like it has passed the point of just a smokescreen. It's starting to seem legitimate.

I like. I would love McClain's picks though I think it would be impossible that Edmunds is available.

We get Ronnie Harrison or Lamar in the 3rd that’s a complete still. Ronnie is more realistic though

Brian O'Neill went to Pitt, not Penn State.

John McLain has been talking him up since he saw him at the combine. On the radiio, McLain has been saying there's no way he'll be around for the Texans pick. O'Neill a great athlete for a guy that big. He used to be a tight end and still moves like it. From what I saw, he gets pushed around like a rag doll a bunch. Pretty good at pass pro, but he can't push anybody off of their spot in the running game, even 250-260 pound college defensive ends. There are apparently a few other issues, too. I think McLain is overrating him a bunch. I think there's a reasonable chance he's there in the 3rd, and I also think he may not be what the Texans want. He seems like the kind of guy a strict zone blocking team would fall in love with. To be clear, I'm not saying he'd be a bad pick, but he'd need to beef up, and strength is kind of a big deal for offensive linemen. Might need some time, and they might be trying to find someone ready to go. He'd be much more ready to go for Gary Kubiak's offense, for instance.

Also, he has one of the largest chin I can remember seeing on a human being. He looks like a cartoon character football player, but that is neither here nor there.

Finally Schultz is a good blocker, but I think his blocking is getting overhyped here. He's good technique and effort wise but he's not build like a lineman, he's not insanely strong, and he's not going to "road grade" anything.

I think they are overthinking it. They are probably thinking Mayfield is the most Watson-like. Aside from the bonehead grab my crutch moves, he has leadership qualities, and he wins. Stats are decent but he doesn't have the physical look that the others do. I don't think it is a horrible move, especially with Tyrod in house. But I would wait till 1-4 or later.

Texans have over $35 million in cap space.

Maybe they can take on a bad contract in exchange for a 2nd round pick like Osweiler last year.

Had to double check that this wasn't a comment about "JJ FATT" from someone on my ignore list....

You mean the "bad contract" that they could cut right now for only 6 mil? You mean the "bad contract" that could be cut next year for only a 2 mil hit?

I think we were talking about legitimately bad contracts.

Feel sorry for the QB that gets drafted by the Browns #1 overall. Career ender before it even begins
