This thread doesn't get nearly the attention it deserves. I can't describe how excited I am to see this kid play. His basketball IQ and his composure in transition during LVSL were "veteranesque" And his style compliments Harden and CP3 so damn well. doesn't need the ball in his hands to strive. I honestly think he has the ability to be a top 5-8 defensive PG as a rookie. This is going to be huge when Melton comes in to spell CP3/Harden for 12-15 mpg during the 2019 WCF against GS.
I am so excited about Melton this season. While fools are looking forward to Melo, the fool's gold, they dont even realize that the real gem is Melton, one they already have.
not only am i so excited to steal melton at #46... I'm even more excited that he will be mentored by CP3 for 4 years!
In a couple of years, we may look back on our #46 pick as being the biggest accomplishment of Morey's summer.
he made this same statement 3 weeks before Melton wowed everyone at summer league, showing an insanely improved 3pt shot. This projection was made based on Melton's poor 3pt shooting during his lone year at USC ... and he's 7th in All Star potential?! Imagine these projections re-assessed with his improved shot...
Melton is going to be our mini K. Leonard. Starts with good defense instincts and over time improves his offensive skills. Hope we sign him to a 4-year rookie contract. This dude may be expensive to sign down the road, correct Mr. Capela?
6'2 with a 6'8 wing span. Good athlete. Definitely got the tools. Looking forward to seeing how he develops.

Very excited to see him playing. Great defense (not too agressive, staying in front of his man), great rebounder and high steal number, careful with the ball. I think he can be our Sam Cassell (in terms of rookie impact, not skill wise) on our team this year.
Unfortunately we can't sign him for 4 years, Bima said you can only do a 3 year deal with tax MLE but whatever, i just hope we don't trade him, really love what i saw in summer league, the guy looked like a super steal for the 46th pick.
