NBA Award Finalists ROY: Deandre Ayton, Luka Doncic, Trae Young MIP: De'Aaron Fox, D'Angelo Russell, Pascal Siakam Sixth Man: Montrezl Harrell, Domantas Sabonis, Lou Williams COY: Mike Budenholzer, Mike Malone, Doc Rivers DPOY: Giannis Antetokounmpo, Paul George, Rudy Gobert MVP: Giannis Antetokounmpo, Paul George, James Harden (Sixth Man) Chuck: Is Eric Gordon not eligible? He'd be 2nd on my list. I love Eric Gordon. (MVP) Chuck: I would have voted for Giannis. James a close 2nd. Giannis has been the best player in basketball all year in my opinion. Shaq: I like Giannis but growing up thought it was about stats. James stat wise was unbelievable. Unguardable. He'll be in this conversation next 4-5 years but I'll go with Giannis. The way he came out focused. He's letting the world know the league is mine the next 10 years. Kenny: James Harden is an incredible talent. Nothing to be ashamed of if you don't win the award. I've had great mentors/coaches in my life. They all used to say the same thing, "The biggest stat and only thing people ask when you come home, did you win?" Giannis won. I'm gonna go with Giannis. Chuck: What seals the deal for me is 2 minutes ago you asked if he's DPOY. If you're in the conversation for DPOY & MVP, it should be a no-brainer. ____________ Who I think will win: Trae, Pascal, Lou, Mike B., Giannis, Giannis
Can't comprehend how Lou Williams can be eligible for 6th man when he is averaging almost the highest minutes on his team. It's obvious that playing more minutes aids him put up better stats. 6th man shldnt be playing starter minutes imo Same thing with Simmons winning ROY when he was obviously a 2nd yr player. Only players drafted in that year should be eligible imo. MVP? That's a joke
IF you need another reason not to watch the Awards show... Shaquille O’Neal will be hosting the 2019 NBA Awards
Trae young sucked before the all star break. That gave Doncic the edge I guess. Also surprised why Nick Nurse is not even in COTY discussion? He won a ring as a first year coach
