Offenses of the Jags and Titans just got better. Obviously I want the Texans to win, but I'm glad the AFC South will get more competitive.
No, but he was a man among boys out there. FWIW: I'm a Clemson fan and think Corey Davis is better than Mike Williams.
Supposedly long term upside, physical ability. My son wanted him on the Texans badly and he's upset they got Watson. The little I saw of Mahomes last year he looked really good and he's got more physical talent than your average gimmicky Tech QB.
Friend of mine that is a Bears fan is very angry about what they gave up to take Trubisky. I would be too. Insane move by the Bears.
They're finally properly building through the draft and will get their QB maybe next year with a better class of prospects.
Browns jumped the Steelers to get back into the first. Gotta be for Kizer, who's been linked to the Steelers.
Most trades are good or bad based on if the player worked out. Texans make the playoffs next year with Watson then it's a great trade. If he plays poorly and the Texans finish 2-14 without their draft picks then it's a horrible trade. Same thing with the Bears. There are a few trades that are just bad no matter what like the saints sending a **** ton of picks to (Washington IIRC) for Ricky Williams. That was never going to be worth it.
How about giving the kid some time to develop, and give this a few yrs to play out before you blow your wad and make up your mind after only one yr. What if they suck ass next yr (2-14 per your example) because a few key guys get hurt, but Watson shows some promise towards the end of the yr and in the following yr they take off and Watson appears to be a franchise type qb? Will it be a horrible trade?
