    2 super bowl appearances

    The 300/100 game

You are way to caught up in yardage just like early Brady critics

McNabb's career, Vick's resurgence in Philly, and Alex Smith now have a lot to do with Andy Reid

Vick was a pleasure to watch his MVP year. I remember him torching our secondary.

Completely and totally irrelevant to a conversation about individual performance.

So instead of basing it on statistics that give an objective measure of performance, you'd prefer to base things entirely on "just winz" (most of which was due to the defense and running game and had very little to do with QB performance making it even more useless than most "just winz" arguments) and one stellar game?

    I'm sorry, I can't buy it.

He has the second highest career rating. He is behind Rogers and above Brady. How is that for objectivity?

Bro, look in the mirror before calling people emotional.

Also.....if we're going to talk about one stellar game, do you really think that Wilson's 300 passing 100 rushing game is superior to Warren Moon's 527 yard passing game? I mean, in Wilson's wildest dreams he could never play a game like that.

Not to mention that for someone who values "just winz" as much as you do, it's odd that you point out a game where Wilson's team lost as justification for him being better than Warren Moon......

I already pointed to his efficiency and it's largely due to him having training wheels for the majority of his career. He barely threw the ball compared to true elite QB's and had an emphasis on being safe, which he accomplished well. If he was throwing the ball 600 times a season like Warren Moon, what do you think those efficiency stats would look like?

Notice how Wilson's efficiency stats took a relative nose dive last year when he joined the big boys in throwing the ball over 500 times per season for the first time ever.....

I'm not saying Wilson isn't a good QB, he certainly is, but you set him up for failure when you try to compare him to one of the all time legends of the game....one of the best QB's to ever play the sport.

Warren Moon is only 60th in career rating. He is hurt by not many tds.

Marino who threw a lot of tds is only 27th.

When judging qbs you have to consider everything including team.

McNabb's best yr is clearly with Owens so who knows what he could have done with an all pro his whole career. That being said he has a very low career rating of 85. His problem imo is inconsistency.

Kaepernick is actually 17th. His super bowl year and the next were stellar seasons

kordell Stewart was terrible as well. The problem with dw is that he's playing for a bunch of coaches that would ratherthrow him out there to the wolves when he clearly isn't ready rather than lose a game with a journeyman bailout.
The Texans aren't doing him any favors. he should have been nothing but a clipboard holder this year, and maybe even the year after.

IMO, its Moon over Wilson as best passer.

Now, if you'd said best QB i'd pause...

Vick had the ability to be better than all of them. Just didnt put in the work. Even he admitted that part later in his career in Philly

I'm just waiting for a new HC or OC and then watch Watson take off.

Notwithstanding what Bellichik said about BoB, it's time for the offense to go another direction.

And that's how you just undercut your own argument LOL, you are posting about efficiency which rewards passing very few times and being really safe. Guys like Kap and Wilson had training wheels on them for most of Wilson's career and all of Kap's career which led to them being at the bottom of the pass attempts per game list among starting QB's pretty much every year until Wilson got the training wheels off last season and Kap washed out of the league for being a scrub.

While you say "you have to consider everything" you are ONLY considering one efficiency stat and discounting the rest of the picture. There's simply not argument to be made for Wilson being a better passer than Moon. You could say he's safer, but certainly not better.

Which is great, but that's just one season....and he still was 18th in pass attempts that season. It was a long time coming, but he finally made it to the middle while still being efficient. Then they finally took the training wheels off of him completely last season and unsurprisingly it led to his lowest QB rating of his career. He's on pace to go over 500 passing attempts yet again this season and as of right now has a passer rating of 76.3....Imagine what his numbers would look like if they never had the training wheels on him to begin with like other QB's like Moon who came into the league throwing the ball 450 times per game?

Why does he have to pass more. His team goes to.and wins super bowls.

Moon's teams never made a conference championship

Quarterbacks are ultimately judged by winning.

LOL yeah they are judged ultimately by winning by those who don't know how to judge QB's. When you have to fall back on the Tebow/Mark Sanchez/Vince Young argument, you've already lost.

The better passer is the player who is a better passer, not the player who happened to be on the better team that carried them further in the playoffs.

I really wish you guys would stop putting Mike Vick and Deshaun Watson in the same sentence.
