If you aren't trying to convince anyone of anything, and you think their love of Watson is fine. Then why do you keep beating a dead horse? You already know their love is "blind" and "unconditional". Just give it a rest, everyone knows your opinion of Watson at this point. Oh, and who knows. You might be wrong about Watson the same way you were wrong about Derek Carr. Derek Carr turned out to be a franchise caliber QB, and maybe Watson will too. Time will tell.
LOL how was I wrong about Derek Carr? I was calling for the Texans to draft him literally a year before he declared for the draft......
So none of those players were NFL caliber in their first season? Tom Brady was not NFL caliber his first season? Or is it just that Watson can have similar stats to them, but we can already judge that he's not NFL caliber based on his first six quarters?
If they can beat a good team with 10 points you'll be correct. They aren't holding the Patriots to 9 points, or Kansas City or any of the other good teams. There is a reason their ceiling has been 9-7 under obrien and why it doesn't get them far. You can't count on 15-17 points winning you playoff games against good teams. But it's cool, keep getting excited about hair above mediocrity in record while they put out pitiful offenses. They've fired an offensive coordinator because the offense was so bad last year and this year it's worse, but what do they do know! Someone should go tell obrien not to worry, pgabs thinks this offense is great! Someone go tell bellicheck and Brady to stop trying to play madden don't they know that's not winning football!!!!
Sure why not? Plenty of quarterbacks get hot for a game. Not sure he could do it on this team right now because of receiving options and offensive line but I have no doubt that there is a possibility he could have a single game like that
As far as 9 wins So you think Watson should be dropping back fifty times in a game with no tight end and a makeshift line This is a work in progress Road wins aren't easy regardless of opponent You still haven't addressed being 19-0 when leading at the half Dude can coach
I haven't seen anything from him that would make me think that he was capable of that right now. Hell if he manages 200 passing yards, I'll be thrilled.
You never know. We shall see. Who would have thought Matt Flynn would have thrown for 466 and 6 TDs in his second career start. It's the beauty of football.
You are great at beating up straw men. I say the offense is bad you argue against 50 dropbacks. Uselsss conversation
Once again, the fourth quarter last Thursday, he looked pretty good. Granted, he wasn't exactly throwing a full route tree, but he had limited options. It was truly the first time he had consistent protection. He got in a rhythm and looked good.
You said you didn't think any of the QB's in that draft was a franchise caliber QB. Carr clearly is a franchise caliber QB.
Sure he became one, but he was a guy that needed time to develop into that and that's why I wasn't calling for him in the first round even though I thought he was the best QB in that class. Watson could end up being similar, but it won't change how he looks right now.
According to ESPN's new fancy stat, QBR, Deshaun was the 2nd best QB this past week. 2nd only to Tom Brady. http://www.espn.com/nfl/qbr/_/type/player-week And Deshon Kizer was last
Yes he is definitely capable of having a game like that . I don't think the receivers are ready though.
Well, I agree with that. Watson could end up being like Carr if given time. And yes, Watson is probably not going to look very good this year. But really, I don't ever remember a rookie QB ever having so little to work with in his first start as Watson had this past week. Poor line, no tight ends, no WR's that could stretch the field, WR's with bad hands. I mean it was really ridiculous.
Im saying they have personnel issues and a young quarterback Edit: he took over a 2-14 team Champions arent built overnight.
