So far: Acquired Jimmy Butler, traded Wicky Wubio for a first round pick

538 projects them as a 50 win team right now factoring in a replacement level point guard.

    Rumors:
Exploring signing Jeff Teague (called heavy favorite)
May also look into Kyle Lowry or George Hill

Perhaps Rondo now to rejoin Thibs.

If they get Lowry, that is a contender. I'm much more interested in this team after trade Rubio.

So replacing Rubio with a (at this point) worse version of Rubio?

    Lowry
    Wiggins
    Butler
    Dieng
    Towns

On paper would be a stronger team than San Antonio. If Towns or Wiggins take a step that team would threaten GSW because they'd have no answer for Towns. He would murder Green.

Starting to feel like the Rockets should just chase Ibaka who's value plummeted with the Raptors. Would give us a defender for Towns and Green.

    GSW
    Rockets/Wolves
    Spurs
    Jazz
    Grizz/Clippers/Blazers/Suns depending on Griffin.

Joking? Rondo is a terrible scorer, but he is Allen Iverson compared to Rubio. He is older and a less creative passer though, but I think that's a much better mix for any team. Teams were embarrassing the Wolves by leaving Rubio open intentionally, hurts the morale, and Rubio wasn't able to consistently beat that strategy.

I don't think he's that bad. Plus you would hopefully get him for cheap. Rondo shot 36 to 37% from 3's the last two years so that was respectable.

Ibaka only on the cheap as a bench big. And where is OKC?

As they currently stand, I think this team is barely a 6 seed. Hill or Teague aren't putting them over the top. Only way I'd be worried about this team is if they manage to get Lowry AND Milsap.

True. Teague is solid, but not a big difference maker and not too consistent scoring wise.

If Teague has already agreed and doesn't even take any other meeting it means he got PAID.

edit: first rumours say it's 3/60. Horrible deal if true imo.
