And he's not even close to the starter in Boston

I disagree. The starter in Boston is pretty good.

He's head and shoulders better than Jeremy Lin.
Jeremy Lin wouldn't be a starter on that Boston team

Hmmm...not so sure about that. Brad Stevens has gushed about Lin before. I think Stevens would give Jeremy the start if Thomas and Lin had joined the team at the same time.

I don't hate Lin, I believe he is a legit NBA player.
To be a good starting PG he needs a Mike D'antoni style of offense, but in other style of play, he is best suited as a 6th man coming off the bench. Lin seem to be a very good leader on the team that all his teammates likes...except Melo and Kobe...lol

Of course a Lin fan would ignore facts and make up scenarios in their head

Thomas is averaging 29 points and 6 assists for the season and is an all star

lin isn't anywhere close to that

He's good at leading the rockets to playoff doom vs Portland
He's leading the nets to the lottery
If they get Ball in the lottery he'd be benched again

You are out of you mind. Thomas is getting MVP talk (even though he obviously won't get it) and Lin is nothing more then an average guy coming off the bench (on any team that even hopes to compete for an 8th spot)

He is far from a leader but I agree his teammates seem to like him. He seems to be a genuinely good dude so that isn't surprising

Lin really doomed us in that playoff game by dibbling the ball and not calling for a timeout with seconds left to win the game. I remembered thinking that he wants to get fouled so he could pat his stats on the foul line.

Also, didn't he missed an easy layup on that same playoff game?

Are you surprised that Lin fans feel that he is better than everybody?
Don't you remember when we first got Harden, LOFs thought Harden was limiting Lin's super natural abilities?

you are ignoring the fact that Thomas is an all star point guard and is helping his team to the playoffs while Lin is often injured average guard who is helping his team attempt to reach 20 wins

Anyone who thinks Lin is a better player than Thomas is not really watching NBA basketball

He definitely thrives in D'antoni's system. Think about this...D'antoni has coached a lot of guards in the NBA to run his system. The only ones to thrive are Steve Nash, James Harden and Jeremy Lin. So it's not like just any PG will do well in that system...there's got to be talent and BBIQ to get it done. It's not like you can just throw Steve Blake, Toney Douglas, or even Chauncey Billups in there and have them do great.
