Just when Tinman is against the ropes...Lin airball a clutch three and Tinman comes out droppin them thangs
Glad you asked! That has been discussed in this thread before, but given the popularity of this thread, some of the facts have gotten buried among the posts about Chinese food and ants. Jeremy had a great season playing in Charlotte, where his performance put him in the discussion for the NBA 6th Man Award and earned him votes to get 7th in the voting. His play that season got him an offer to start for the Pelicans, but he turned them down for the opportunity to start for the Nets with his favorite coach, Kenny Atkinson. For the Nets, Jeremy thrived early in the season, helping the team exceed early expectations and putting up 14pts/6a in about 25m/game. Unfortunately, hamstring injury knocked him out for a while, but in his first game back after a 5 week hiatus (and only 1 day of practice), Jeremy put up 10pts/6ast on .500 shooting and orchestrated the team with a +17 in only 20 minutes of play....and he did that against Patrick Beverley, who many on this board consider to be an excellent All-NBA defender. As he gets his fitness back and rust off, his ability to thrive will rise considerably. Also discussed frequently on this board has been Jeremy's strong performance as a starter when his team's "Superstar" was injured. As has been posted here, Reddit, and countless other places, here are the facts: "Lin has started 33 games in his career when Melo, Harden, Kemba or Batum were hurt. Most importantly, his teams went 23-10 in those 33 games, without their stars, a better record than when the stars were in the lineup -- and that was true for each team. Second, only 8 of those 33 games were during Linsanity with the Knicks. The Linsanity games don't look much different from the other 25 games, statistically. Finally, the stats themselves: 20.4 ppg, 6.4 apg, 3.7 rpg, 48% shooting, 44% 3-point shooting." Hope this answers your question!
The only team he was signed as a starter was Houston (and now Brooklyn), and I already said that he would not thrive next to Harden. So we'll have to see how it goes in Brooklyn before being able to answer that question. But the 33 game sample is a good sign of his ability.
I care about team success not individual success, unless this is fantasy league. I care about teams winning not teams Linning team get players for the team to win It seems other players play well with Harden cause the Rockets are winners
Agree. So whether he is a starter or a backup, Jeremy helps his teams win. Other than the Lakers (who were in clear tank mode under Byron Scott), every team Jeremy has joined has improved greatly over their prior season. It's all about getting the team to win.
Lin sucked on the Lakers. He was jacking up airballs at the end of games and pissing off Kobe. He left Charlotte for money and glory. So he can be a hero like he tried to be against Houston. No Kemba stopping him, just the air.
Everybody sucked on the Lakers that season. And every player who left the Lakers after that year had a much better year elsewhere. He left Charlotte for the opportunity to be a starter for a team as he entered his prime. Any player with the opportunity to do so would have made the same decision.
You mean players who became free agents and signed with another team for a better opportunity? There are too many in the NBA to list. On the Rockets, Trevor Ariza has been in the NBA for 15 years, and this year marks the first time he's been on a team longer than 2 years. Ryan Anderson has been on 5 teams in 9 years. Eric Gordon has been on 4 teams in 9 years. Players change teams...it happens for a variety of reasons.
Can Lin even stay healthy? http://www.espn.com/nba/recap?gameId=400899820 You worried that Kilpatrick will take his starter job? He dropped 22 tonight.
This is the first year Lin has missed significant time because of injury. Am not worried that it will be an ongoing problem. And not worried at all about anyone taking his job as starter on the Nets. The coach and the org is committed to him, and his teammates clearly like and support him. The way he has played and conducted himself clearly shows that he deserves that commitment and support, too.
I heard Lin got a tongue lashing from Coach Kenny during a timeout and was benched after giving away the game with 6TO to the Warriors. Any confirmation or gif to verify this?
He's telling Jeremy that's he's sick and tired of his stupid fans bothering him and other team fans of every team on the internet.
